Bakkani Narasimhulu is an Indian politician belonging to the state of Telangana. He is currently the president of the Telangana unit of the Telugu Desam Party(abbv.TDP) and a senior TDP leader from Mahabubnagar district. [1]
Bakkani Narasimhulu started his political career in 1983 as an ordinary political activist in the Telugu Desam Party. He worked in various capacities in the joint Mahabubnagar district-TDP unit. Narasimhulu contested the 1994 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections as a Telugu Desam Party candidate from Shadnagar constituency and won against his nearest rival Congress Party candidate P. Shankar Rao with a majority of 45822 votes and entered the assembly for the first time as an MLA. [2]
In 1999 he refrained from contesting in the legislative assembly election of Andhra Prdesh as this seat was allotted to Bharatiya Janata Party(abbv.BJP) as a part of TDP &BJP alliance in the respective elections. [3] Later in 2004 he conetsted in the legislative assembly election of Andhra Pradesh from Shadnagar Assembly constituency as a TDP candidate and lost to his nearest rival Congress Party candidate P. Shankara Rao by a margin of 10632 votes. [4] [5]
Later,he was in-charge of Shadnagar Constituency of Telugu Desam Party,TDP State Secretary,Executive Secretary,SC Cell State President,TTD Governing Body Member,TDP Election Committee Member,Disciplinary Committee Member[ citation needed ] and Joint Mahabubnagar District TDP President until it got divided into Jogulamba Gadwal district,Wanaparthy district,Nagarkurnool district,and itself as Mahabubnagar district. He worked as a member of the national executive committee and as the national general secretary of TDP. Bakkani Narasimhu contested the 2014 parliamentary elections as a TDP candidate from the Nagarkurnool Lok Sabha constituency and was defeated. [6]
Narsimhulu was appointed as Telangana Telugu Desam Party State President on 19 July 2021. [7]
Bakkani Narasimhulu was born in Lingareddy Guda village,Farooqnagar Mandal,Rangareddy District,Telangana state. He completed his tenth standard in 1970 from Zilla Parishad High School,Farooqnagar [ citation needed ]
Bhuma Nagi Reddy was an Indian politician. He was elected in a by-election to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1992 after the sudden death of his brother,Bhuma Sekhar Reddy,an MLA from Allagadda constituency in Kurnool district. In 1996,Reddy was the Telugu Desam Party candidate against Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao in the Nandyal Lok Sabha constituency election. He served in the 11th,12th and 13th Lok Sabhas. Reddy died in office on 12 March 2017 after a massive heart attack at his home in Allagadda.

The Telangana protests 2004-2010 refers to the movements and agitations related to the Telangana movement that took place between the years 2004 and 2010. For the 2004 Assembly and Parliament elections,the Congress party and the TRS had an electoral alliance in the Telangana region to consider the demand of separate Telangana State. However,again in 2006,the then Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy categorically said that the state would remain united. This again resulted in statewide protests. In 2009,Union Minister of Home Affairs P. Chidambaram announced that the Indian government would start the process of forming a separate Telangana state,pending the introduction and passage of a separation resolution in the Andhra Pradesh assembly after an 11-day fast by Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao. This again resulted in protests across both Andhra and Rayalseema as in a short time of the Home Minister's declaration,MLAs from the Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions submitted their resignations in protest.
Anumula Revanth Reddy is an Indian politician from Telangana. He is the Member of parliament (MP) in the 17th Lok Sabha,from the Indian National Congress representing the Malkajgiri constituency. He was a two-time Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing Kodangal constituency from Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh Assembly between 2009 and 2014 and Telangana Assembly between 2014 and 2018. In October 2017,he left TDP and joined Congress. In June 2021,he was appointed the president of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee.
The 2012 Telangana protests were a chain of protests which were part of the Telangana movement. The Bharatiya Janata Party,led by state-party president Kishan Reddy,began the 22-day Telangana "Poru Yatra" –a 3,500-kilometre (2,200 mi) journey through 986 villages and 88 assembly constituencies stressing the need for a stance on Telangana stance –on 19 January. Although the tour was successful in reiterating the party's pro-Telangana stance,it did not gain the hoped-for support because of the indifferent attitude of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Telangana Joint Action Committee. The TRS' failure to support Reddy's yatra has resulted in increasing differences between the parties. Two assembly by-elections were held that year,the first in March,and the second in June;the BJP won the first,and the YSR Congress Party the second. Protests resumed in August,when K. Chandrashekar Rao gave the centre a two-week deadline to declare statehood.

The 2015 cash-for-votes scam was a political scandal,the second scandal of its kind since the 2008 cash-for-votes scandal. The 2015 political scandal started off when the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders of Telangana state were caught in a video footage,aired in the media,offering bribes to a nominated MLA,Elvis Stephenson,for his vote in the 2015 elections of the Telangana Legislative Council. The TDP MLA Revanth Reddy was arrested by the Telangana Police when he was offering Rs. 50 lakhs to Stephenson. Reddy was then presented before the court and was sent to jail. Similarly,the phone conversation,which was quoted as the voice of N. Chandrababu Naidu,the then Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister,with Stephenson was aired in the news media.
