The Balkan Badminton Championships is a regional badminton tournament organized by the Balkan Badminton Association (BBA) to crown the best badminton players and teams in the Balkans. The inaugural edition of the championships was hosted in 1992 in Bucharest, Romania. The Serbia men's national football team represents Serbia in men's international football competition. It is controlled by the Football Association of Serbia, the governing body for football in Serbia.
Savez Izviđača Srbije, English: Scout Association of Serbia) is the primary national Scouting organization of Serbia. A referendum on independence was held in Montenegro on May 21, 2006, voting to leave its state union with Serbia by a narrow margin. Montenegro became the world's 193rd recognized sovereign state, which has then split the Savez Izviđača Srbije i Crne Gore, as happened with Czechoslovakia in 1993, meaning that the membership in the World Organization of the Scout Movement was transferred to Savez Izviđača Srbije.

The Serbian Figure Skating Championships are held annually to crown the national champions of Serbia. Skaters compete in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance at the senior, junior, and novice levels, although not every discipline is held every year due to a lack of participants. Prior to 2006, Serbia was known as Serbia and Montenegro, and prior to 2002, it was Yugoslavia.
The Balkan Cross Country Championships has since 1958 been an annual regional international competition in cross country running amongst athletes from the Balkans. It forms part of the Balkan Games, the latter an event to encourage the relations amongst the participating nations surrounding the Mediterranean Sea and it traces its history back to 1940. Dragan "Gagi" Jovanović is a Serbian heavyweight kickboxer, multiple W.A.K.O. European and World champion, and W.A.K.O. Pro Full-Contact Rules European Champion.
Lejla Njemčević is an Italian-born Bosnian cross-country and mountain bike cyclist. She was the overall winner of the cross-country marathon at the 2023 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup. Lejla is as well the first ever mountain bike rider from the Bosnia and Herzegovina to sign a contract for a professional cycling team. Lejla started racing at the age of 15 at local cycling club Klub brdskog biciklizma "Puls" for which team she is still riding. During her career she has won 35 races organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale. Lejla Njemčević is a nineteen time national champion in various disciplines and five time national league overall winner. On regional competitions she has won the Balkan Championships title five time in the row which makes her all time best Balkan rider. Lejla is a graduated student of Faculty of Law in Sarajevo with a master's degree in criminal law.
Jovica Rujević is a Serbian male badminton player, and a former South Africa national badminton team. In 1996, he was the semi-finalist at the South Africa International tournament in the men's doubles event with Dave Calvert. In 2013, he reach the final round at the Botswana International tournament in the men's doubles event partnered with Andries Malan. The duo became the runner-up after defeated by the Slovenian pair in the rubber game. At the Balkan Badminton Championships, he won the bronze medal in the mixed team event. He and Malan also the semi-finalist at the 2016 South Africa International tournament. He also play for the Novi Sad badminton club, and in 2013 he won the men's and mixed doubles title at the Vojvodina Championship, and also became the runner-up in the men's singles event.
Sandra Rujević is a Serbian badminton player. She was the women's doubles national championships from 2010-2013 and in the mixed doubles in 2010. In 2013, she won the international tournament in the women's doubles event partnered with Elme de Villiers of South Africa at the Botswana and South Africa. At the Balkan Championships, she won the bronze medal in the mixed team event.
The Balkan Athletics U20 Championships is an annual track and field competition for athletes under-20 years old from the Balkans. Formerly known as the Balkan Athletics Junior Championships, it was first held in 1970 and is organised by Balkan Athletics. It is one of the oldest youth athletics championships, being created in the same year at the European Athletics Junior Championships, though predated by the South American U20 Championships in Athletics.
The Romania national badminton team represents Romania in international badminton team competitions. The Romanian national team have never participated in the Sudirman Cup, Thomas Cup and the Uber Cup. Romania participated in the 2006 European Men's Team Badminton Championships and were eliminated in the group stages.

The North Macedonia national badminton team represents North Macedonia in international badminton team competitions and is organized by the Badminton Federation of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. The Macedonian team competes in the Balkan Badminton Championships. The Macedonian junior team first competed in the 2006 Balkan Junior Badminton Championships. The team then won bronze at the 2013 Balkan Junior Team Championships in Manisa, Turkey.
The Serbia and Montenegro national badminton team represented Serbia and Montenegro in international badminton competitions. The national team reached its highest ranking at 99 on 1 July 2011.
The 2018 Balkan Badminton Championships was a badminton tournament sanctioned by the Balkan Badminton Association and Badminton Europe. The individual and mixed team events were held from 18 to 20 May 2018.
