The Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the highest women's professional club basketball competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The League it was founded in 2002.
The Basketball League of Bosnia and Herzegovina has only existed since 2002. Until then there were three separate associations that each organized their own separate competitions.

Hrvatski košarkaški klub Široki, commonly referred to as HKK Široki or simply Široki, is a men's professional basketball club based in Široki Brijeg, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The team currently competes in the Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina. With eleven Bosnia and Herzegovina Championship and nine Cups of Bosnia and Herzegovina won Široki is the most successful basketball team in the country.

Group B of EuroBasket 2022 consisted of Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, and Slovenia. The games were played from 1 to 7 September 2022 at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany. The top four teams advanced to the knockout stage.
