The basketball competitions are set to be contested at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California in the United States. Basketball will be held at the Inglewood Dome, while the 3x3 basketball will be at a temporary outdoor venue in the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area. ^{[1] [2]} There will be a total of 48 teams, following the expansion of both men's and women's 3x3 tournaments from eight teams in the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics to 12. ^{[3] [4]}
