King Crimson were an English progressive rock band formed in 1968 in London. The band drew inspiration from a wide variety of music, incorporating elements of classical, jazz, folk, heavy metal, gamelan, blues, industrial, electronic, experimental music and new wave. They exerted a strong influence on the early 1970s progressive rock movement, including on contemporaries such as Yes and Genesis, and continue to inspire subsequent generations of artists across multiple genres. The band earned a large cult following.
Robert Fripp is an English musician, songwriter, record producer, and author, best known as the guitarist, founder and longest-lasting member of the progressive rock band King Crimson. He has worked extensively as a session musician and collaborator, notably with David Bowie, Blondie, Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Daryl Hall, The Roches, Talking Heads, and David Sylvian. He also composed the startup sound of Windows Vista operating system, in collaboration with Tucker Martine and Steve Ball. His discography includes contributions to over 700 official releases.

During an initial career spanning more than twenty years, they earned critical acclaim from critics and fellow musicians, developed a cult following, and became an influence for new artists. The group carved out a career at a certain distance away from mainstream music, being described by publications such as Classic Rock and PopMatters as "the most important band you'd never heard of".

The record consists of the album version of the song and a radio edit, the same used for the promo videoclip, it comes housed in a cardboard sleeve with unique artwork.

It is a compilation of leftover pieces recorded between 1995 and 1999 that were not included on either of the previous two Bass Communion albums. In 2008, the album was re-issued together with II in a 2-CD edition limited to 1,200 copies.
Bass Communion II is the second studio album released in 1999 by British musician, songwriter, and producer Steven Wilson under the pseudonym Bass Communion. The first edition was a double album with a second disc containing a track of sampled material provided by Robert Fripp and a remix by The Square Root of Sub. The 2002 reissue of the album excludes the remix by The Square Root of Sub and moves the Fripp-based track to the first disc, taking the album to a single CD. The album was later released on vinyl in December 2007 by Tonefloat Records and includes exclusive bonus material on Side D. In November 2008, the album was re-issued together with III in a 2CD edition limited to 1,200 copies.

Atmospherics is a collection of Bass Communion music released by library music company Bruton Music and distributed to media companies for use in television and radio programs. Some of the pieces are extracts and remixes of tracks from other Bass Communion albums.
Chiaroscuro is a live album by British musician, songwriter and producer Steven Wilson under the pseudonym Bass Communion. The title track was recorded live in Antwerp in November 2008. The second track, Fusilier also appears on the Bass Communion / Fear Falls Burning split 7" LP given away to attendees of the concert.
A Scarcity of Miracles is the lone album by Jakszyk, Fripp and Collins, released in 2011. It united singer and guitarist Jakko Jakszyk with three musicians best known from King Crimson, guitarist Robert Fripp, saxophonist Mel Collins and bassist/Chapman Stick player Tony Levin. Porcupine Tree member Gavin Harrison was featured on drums. Jakszyk and Harrison would go on to participate together in the next incarnation of King Crimson.
Warm Winter is the debut album by art-rock duo Memories of Machines (a collaboration between No-Man singer Tim Bowness and Nosound multi-instrumentalist Giancarlo Erra. The album was released in 2011.
