Baxter Holt (born 21 October 1999) is an Australian cricketer who plays as a right- handed wicket-keeper-batsman for the Australia national under-19 cricket team and the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League. He is a graduate from The King's School,Parramatta. [1]
On 30 January 2019 Holt made his Twenty20 debut for Sydney Thunder during the 2018-19 Big Bash League season against the Melbourne Renegades,hitting 37 from 28 deliveries and adding 2 catches and a stumping. [2] He made his first-class debut for New South Wales in the 2018–19 Sheffield Shield season on 20 March 2019. [3]
Holt has been mentored by Southern Stars wicket-keeper Alyssa Healy and is studying for a bachelor's degree in sports science from the University of Technology and Science in Sydney. [4] He made his List A debut on 24 November 2021,for New South Wales in the 2021–22 Marsh One-Day Cup. [5]
Alyssa Jean Healy is an Australian cricketer who plays for the Australian women's national team and New South Wales in domestic cricket,as well as the Sydney Sixers in the WBBL. She made her international debut in February 2010.
Peter Michael Nevill is an Australian former cricketer who played 17 Tests and 9 T20 internationals for Australia. He also represented New South Wales and the Melbourne Stars,having previously played for the Melbourne Renegades and the Sydney Sixers. He was Australia's regular Test wicket-keeper from the second test of 2015 Ashes series until being dropped in November 2016. The 2018–19 Big Bash League season or BBL|08 was the eighth season of the KFC Big Bash League,the professional men's Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The tournament started on 19 December 2018. Adelaide Strikers were the defending champions. The competition was extended to a full home and away season for the first time,with each team to play each other twice at both a home venue and away venue. This consists of 56 regular season matches,two semi-final fixtures and the final. For this season of the tournament,the toss was replaced by a bat flip,with "roofs and flats" used instead of heads or tails.
