The 2nd Asian Beach Games were held in Muscat, Oman from 8 December 2010 to 16 December 2010. The opening ceremony was held in the Al-Musannah Sports City, Muscat.

South Korea mens national volleyball team Mens national volleyball team

The South Korea men's national volleyball team represents South Korea in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. The Republic of Korea (ROK) has competed in the Olympic Games eight times, but has not featured since the Sydney 2000 Games. The team's best performance at the Olympic Games was 5th place at the 1984 Games in Los Angeles, California, United States. The national team at the Asian Championship winner four gold medal in 1989 Seoul, 1993 Nakhon Ratchasima, 2001 Changwon and 2003 Tianjin. This performance did not come close to matching their best FIVB World Championship finish of fourth in 1978, when they lost to Cuba in the bronze medal match.

Indoor volleyball was contested at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar. All matches played at the Al-Rayyan Indoor Hall.

Chang So-yun is a volleyball player. Playing as a middle-blocker, she was one of the key players of the South Korea women's national volleyball team during the 1990s and the early 2000s (decade).

2016 Asian Beach Games

The 5th Asian Beach Games was held in Da Nang, Vietnam. It was the second time for Vietnam to host an Asia level multi-sports event, after Ha Noi held Asian Indoor Games (2009). However, this was the first time that an event not be held in Ha Noi.

India mens national volleyball team National volleyball team

Ku Min-jung is a retired female South Korean volleyball player. She represented South Korea in two editions of the Olympic Games, and also often played as an outside hitter and attacker. Ku was also a member of the South Korea women's national volleyball team who attained a great success in the late 1990s and early 2000s, capturing two silver medals each at the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship and at the Asian Games.

Beach volleyball at the 2014 Asian Games was held in Incheon, South Korea from September 20 to 29, 2014. In this tournament, 18 nations played in the men's competition, and 7 nations participated in women's competition.

Beach volleyball at the 2010 Asian Games was held in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China.

Beach volleyball at the 2018 Asian Games was held in Palembang, Indonesia from August 19 to 28, 2018. In this edition, 19 nations played in the men's competition, and 10 nations participated in women's competition.
