Beating Dead Horses is the seventh studio album by American industrial rock band 16volt, released on May 5, 2011 by Metropolis Records. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Brutal Resonance commended the production quality and composition variety of Beating Dead Horses, saying "there are some tracks on this album that vary but most of the tracks follow the same line and it's a pretty straight forward album." [5] COMA Music Magazine called the album the band's best work and said "fans are sure to find Beating Dead Horses to be very enjoyable while new listeners should appreciate the dynamic soundscapes offered by 16Volt." [6] ReGen commended the band for remaining successful composers through their existence and said "with Beating Dead Horses presenting a leaner, meaner, more stripped down and more amped up 16volt, the band stands tall at the forefront of machine rock." [7] Soundsphere Magazine gave the album four out of five stars and said "utilising a blend of the classic band set-up (guitar, drums, vocal and bass) alongside electronic gear (synthesizers, samplers, drum machines and more), this band has come to perfect the skill of mixing of these different sounds that give us the songs we know and love." [8]

Hau Ruck is the fourteenth album by industrial rock band KMFDM, released by Metropolis Records on September 13, 2005. It was recorded in Seattle, Washington.
Steve White is an English musician and former member of the industrial band KMFDM, first joining the band in 2002 for the Sturm & Drang Tour, and later appearing on several live albums/DVDs and the studio albums Hau Ruck, Tohuvabohu and Blitz. Previously he was a member of PIG, the project of fellow KMFDM contributor Raymond Watts. He worked on Sick together with other members of KMFDM. He is also known for his work remixing for other artists, such as Mindless Self Indulgence, Nude, and Pig. White resides in Seattle, Washington along with other members of the band. White played guitars for SMP in 2007 on Chemlab's Detonation Days Tour. In 2008 White joined 16volt as their live guitarist for the Denial Highway North American tour. He released several albums with the band, including FullBlackHabit, American Porn Songs and Beating Dead Horses.
