Bedeliolus is a genus of ground beetles in the family Carabidae. There are at least three described species in Bedeliolus. [1] [2]
These three species belong to the genus Bedeliolus:
Harpalinae is a subfamily of ground beetles that contains more than 3,000 species in 4 tribes worldwide, according to the Carabcat Database. A rarely used common name for the subfamily is the harp beetles. The Harpalinae contain the most apomorphic ground beetles, displaying a wide range of forms and behaviors. Some are, rare among ground beetles, omnivores or even herbivores.
Amaurobiidae is a family of three-clawed cribellate or ecribellate spiders found in crevices and hollows or under stones where they build retreats, and are often collected in pitfall traps. Unlidded burrows are sometimes quite obvious in crusty, loamy soil. They are difficult to distinguish from related spiders in other families, especially Agelenidae, Desidae and Amphinectidae. Their intra- and interfamilial relationships are contentious. According to the World Spider Catalog, 2023, the family Amaurobiidae includes 286 species in 50 genera.
Carabus is a genus of beetles in family Carabidae. The genus is highly diverse with 94 subgenera, 897 species and 2300 subspecies, thus is the largest genus in the subfamily Carabinae. The vast majority are native to the Palearctic, but 11 Nearctic species are also known. Carabus spp. are 12–50 mm (0.47–1.97 in) long, and most species are wingless and often very colourful. These are nocturnal, predatory beetles that feed on snails, earthworms, and caterpillars. Most Carabus species were thought to have inhabited the Eurasian forest, but the species' low dispersal abilities altered the distribution of lineages within the genus.
Leistus is a genus of ground beetles in the family Carabidae. There are more than 250 described species in Leistus, found in the Holearctic.
Omophron is a genus of ground beetle (Carabidae), the only extant genus in the subfamily Omophroninae. It is mostly distributed in the Northern Hemisphere with the southern border running through Guatemala and Hispaniola in Americas, South Africa and Madagascar in Africa, Malaysia and Philippines in Asia.
Clema is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae, containing the following species:
Chaetobroscus is a genus of beetles in the family Carabidae, containing the following species:
Odotoncarus is a genus of ground beetles in the family Carabidae. There are seven described species in Odotoncarus.
Merizomena is a genus of beetles in the family Carabidae, containing the following species:
Psammodromius is a genus of ground beetles in the family Carabidae. There are at least three described species in Psammodromius.
Agapanthia is a genus of flat-faced longhorn beetle belonging to the family Cerambycidae, subfamily Lamiinae.
Stenolepta is a genus of ground beetles in the family Carabidae. There are at least three described species in Stenolepta.
Taphoxenus is a genus of ground beetles in the family Carabidae. There are about 14 described species in Taphoxenus.
Stomis is a genus of woodland ground beetles in the family Carabidae. There are more than 40 described species in Stomis.
Diplous is a genus of ground beetles in the family Carabidae. There are more than 20 described species in Diplous.
Pogonus is a genus of ground beetles in the family Carabidae, found worldwide. There are more than 50 described species in Pogonus.
Apatophysis is a genus of longhorn beetles in the subfamily Dorcasominae.
Mallosia, described by Étienne Mulsant in 1847, is a genus of longhorn beetles of the subfamily Lamiinae, tribe Saperdini. It is distributed in the Palearctic, from Greece to Caucasus and Iran.
Callisthenes is a genus of black searcher beetle in the family of beetles known as Carabidae. There are at least 50 described species in Callisthenes.
Pogonini is a tribe of ground beetles in the family Carabidae. There are about 12 genera and more than 80 described species in Pogonini. More than half the species are in the genus Pogonus.
