In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Bedford had a population of 658 living in 273 of its 282 total private dwellings, a change of -4.2% from its 2016 population of 687. With a land area of 31.96 km2 (12.34 sq mi), it had a population density of 20.6/km2 (53.3/sq mi) in 2021. [6]

Brome-Missisquoi is a regional county municipality in the Estrie region of Quebec, Canada. It lies in the Eastern Townships area. The seat is Cowansville. In 2021, it was transferred to the Estrie region from Montérégie.
