Beethoven in the Rockies (BITR) is an American music festival based in Greeley, Colorado. [3] [4] [5] The concert series showcases the works of Ludwig van Beethoven through diverse musical events while providing affordable access to performances and educational experiences throughout the Northern Colorado region. [6]
Beethoven in the Rockies is led by founder and artistic director Adam Piotr Żukiewicz. [7] Żukiewicz said "the concert series will focus on providing access to excellent quality performances with an educational component. The series will actively engage and promote artists representing diverse communities of the Northern Colorado region, while also offering the opportunity to our audiences to interact with national and international guest artists and presenters in an approachable setting." The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) is a public university in Greeley, Colorado. The university was founded in 1889 as the State Normal School of Colorado and has a long history in teacher education. The institution has officially changed its name three times, first to Colorado State College of Education, at Greeley on February 16, 1935, Colorado State College on February 11, 1957, and its current form since May 1, 1970. Approximately 10,000 students are enrolled in six colleges. Extended campus locations are in Loveland, Denver/Aurora, and Colorado Springs. UNC's 19 athletic teams compete in NCAA Division I athletics.

After a beautifully engaging concert by the UNC Asian Ensemble and an exquisite and crowd-pleasing performance of "Tambourin Chinois" by Edward W. Hardy (violin) and Hanguang Wang (piano), Beethoven in the Rockies will have its season concert finale this Friday featuring The Loveland Orchestra.
