Belura is a village in the southern state of Karnataka, India. [1] [2] It is located in the Basavakalyan taluk of Bidar district. It comes under the Hulsoor Police jurisdiction.
Karnataka is a state in the south western region of India. It was formed on 1 November 1956, with the passage of the States Reorganisation Act. Originally known as the State of Mysore, it was renamed Karnataka in 1973. The state corresponds to the Carnatic region. The capital and largest city is Bangalore (Bengaluru).
Basavakalyan also spelled Basavakalyana is a City and taluka in Bidar District of the state of Karnataka, India and was historically known as Kalyan and Basavakalyan is the Second Largest Municipality City in Bidar District.
Bidar district is the northernmost part of the Karnataka state in India. Geographically, it resembles the "Crown of the State", occupying its northeastern end. It is bounded by Kamareddy and Sangareddy districts of Telangana state on the eastern side, Latur and Osmanabad districts of Maharashtra state on the western side, Nanded district of Maharashtra state on the northern side and Gulbarga district on the southern side.
As of 2001 [update] India census, Belura had a population of 5857 with 2921 males and 2936 females. [1]
