The City of Botany Bay was a local government area in the inner southern and south-eastern region of Sydney,in the state of New South Wales,Australia. The area encompassed the suburbs to the north of Botany Bay,such as Botany. First proclaimed in 1888 as the "Borough of Botany",the council became the "Municipality of Botany" from 1906 to 1996,when it was proclaimed a city as the "City of Botany Bay".

He is the member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly representing Maroubra for the Australian Labor Party since 2005. Daley is aligned with the Labor Right faction.
Carmel Mary Tebbutt is an Australian former politician. She was the Labor Party Member for the former seat of Marrickville in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly until the 2015 election and was Deputy Premier of New South Wales from 2008 to 2011. She was also Minister for Health in the Keneally Government. She is the first woman to hold the position of Deputy Premier of New South Wales.

Between 2003 and 2010,Macdonald held a range of ministerial responsibilities in the Carr,Iemma,Rees,and Keneally ministries. Macdonald,who joined the Labor Party in 1972,had his membership of the party terminated in 2013 for bringing the party into disrepute.

Francesco Ernest "Frank" Sartor is a former Australian politician who served as New South Wales Minister for Climate Change and the Environment and Minister Assisting the Minister for Health (Cancer) between 2009 and 2011. He was a Member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly representing Rockdale for the Labor Party between 2003 and 2011. Sartor has previously been Minister for Planning,Redfern Waterloo and the Arts,and Minister for Water and Utilities in the Iemma and Carr governments. Before being elected to the New South Wales Parliament,Sartor was the second longest-serving Lord Mayor of Sydney,after Clover Moore,having held the post for nearly 12 years from September 1991 to March 2003. Sartor retired from politics at the 2011 state election.
Kristina Marie Kerscher Keneally is an American-born Australian politician who was a Labor Senator for New South Wales from February 2018 until April 2022. She resigned from the Senate to contest the House of Representatives seat of Fowler,but was unsuccessful. From 2019 to 2022 she served as Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Senate,Shadow Minister for Home Affairs,and Shadow Minister for Immigration and Citizenship. She previously served as the first female Premier of New South Wales from 2009 to 2011.
Edward Moses Obeid is a retired Australian politician,and convicted criminal,who served as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council between 1991 and 2011,representing the Labor Party. He was the Minister for Fisheries and the Minister for Mineral Resources from 1999–2003. Prior to the March 2015 expiry of his term in the Legislative Council,Obeid announced his decision to retire early on 10 May 2011,citing family reasons.

David Andrew Campbell,an Australian former politician,was a Member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for Keira between 1999 and 2011. A former Lord Mayor of Wollongong,Campbell was appointed Minister for Police from 2 April 2007 to 5 September 2008,as well as Minister for Transport from 8 September 2008 until his resignation on 20 May 2010,with both positions as part of the NSW Government. On 28 September 2010,Campbell announced that he would not seek Labor endorsement for re-election at the 2011 NSW election.

He previously served as Mayor of the City of Botany Bay in New South Wales from 1981 to 2012,a record 31 years,before standing down and winning the 25 August Heffron by-election in the state parliament for the Labor Party.
Nathan Rees is a former Australian politician who served as the 41st Premier of New South Wales and parliamentary leader of the New South Wales Labor Party from September 2008 to December 2009. A by-election occurred for the New South Wales Legislative Assembly seat of Heffron on Saturday 25 August 2012. This was triggered by the resignation of former Premier of New South Wales Kristina Keneally (Labor) which she announced on 23 June 2012. Labor easily retained the seat with an increased margin. Ron Hoenig received a 60 percent primary and 70 percent two-candidate preferred vote.
Bayside Council is a southern local government area in New South Wales,Australia. It is located in Sydney,around part of Botany Bay,7 kilometres (4.3 mi) to 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) south of the CBD. It includes suburbs of Southern Sydney and the St George area separated by the Cooks River as well as a small portion in the Eastern suburbs,south-east of the CBD. It comprises an area of 50 square kilometres (19 sq mi) and as at the 2016 census had a population of 156,058.
Anthony Robert Pooley is an Australian public servant and former local government politician,who served from 2002 as the last Mayor of South Sydney before its amalgamation with the City of Sydney in 2004.
