Benjamin Strettell Clarke was the third Archdeacon of Liverpool, serving from 1887 [1] until his death [2] on 18 November 1895. [3]

Jones was educated at Trinity College, Dublin [4] and ordained in 1846. [5] He was appointed the Perpetual curate at Christ Church Southport in 1849. [6] Later he was the incumbent at Eccleston, Cheshire. [7] His sons were also Anglican priests. [8] [9]
