Denisse Astrid van Lamoen is a Chilean archer. In 2000, she became the first Chilean archer to compete at the Summer Olympics, but after failing a drug test in 2002 she left archery to study law. She later returned to the sport. In 2011, she was voted "Chile's Athlete of the Year" after winning at the 2011 World Archery Championships. She was selected to be Chile's flag-bearer at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She is of Dutch descent.

Mexico hosted the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico from October 14 to 30, 2011. Mexico has competed in every edition of the Pan American Games since the first games held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Mexico began their participation having achieved 782 medals in total with 155 of them gold. On August 24, 2011 the head of CONADE, Bernardo de la Garza stated that the Mexican athletes would look to break the country's historic record of achieving 23 gold medals in a single Games, which happened at the 1995 Pan American Games in Mar del Plata, Argentina. For that specific objective, the Mexican delegation has landed its hopes on the disciplines of diving, taekwondo, archery, racquetball, basque pelota, and athletics, most specifically in the athletes: Paola Espinosa, Paola Longoria, Alberto Rodríguez, Eder Sánchez, Damián Villa, Yahel Castillo, and Juan René Serrano (flagbearer), who are the strongest possibilities of winning a gold medal in their respective disciplines.

Sara José López Bueno, is a Colombian athlete who competes in compound archery. She first competed for the Colombian national team in 2011 Pre-Olympic event in Medellin, Colombia. In both 2017 and 2013, she won medals at the 2013 World Games in Colombia and 2017 World Games in Poland. At the FITA Archery World Cup in 2013, she qualified for the final. She rose to her highest world ranking of 3 in 2013, and her major achievements include winning the 2014 Archery World Cup. As well as competing internationally in archery, she is a medical student.
Brazil competed in 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada from July 10 to 26, 2015. The Brazilian Olympic Committee selected a team of 590 athletes, 314 men and 276 women. This is the 17th appearance of the country in the Pan American Games. The goal of the Brazilian Olympic Committee is to finish among top 3 countries on total medals, as part of preparations for the 2016 Summer Olympics, in Rio de Janeiro, and to surpass the number of medals of Guadalajara (141). Women’s field hockey, baseball, racquetball and speed skating competitions will be the only sports without Brazilian representation at these games.
Sarah de Oliveira Nikitin is a Brazilian competitive archer. A member of Brazil's archery squad in three editions of the Pan American Games, and at the 2016 Summer Olympics, Nikitin scored her only career medal with a bronze over Venezuela's Leidys Brito in the women's individual recurve tournament at the 2014 South American Games in Santiago, Chile. Nikitin currently trains under the tutelage of head coach Evandro Azevedo for the Brazilian national squad, while shooting at a local archery range in her native São Paulo.
Ricardo Soto is a Chilean recurve archer from Arica. He competed in the archery event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
