Bertha is an unincorporated community in southern Douglas County, Missouri, United States.Bertha is located on the Fox Creek floodplain, just north of its junction with Bryant Creek on County Road 95-345, southeast of Gentryville.
Douglas County is a county located in the south-central portion of the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2010 census, the population was 13,684. The county seat and only incorporated community is Ava. The county was officially organized on October 19, 1857, and is named after U.S. Senator Stephen A. Douglas (D-Illinois) and later Democratic presidential candidate.

Fox Creek is a south flowing stream in Douglas and Wright counties of the southern Missouri Ozarks. It is a tributary to Bryant Creek. The stream source is about three quarters of a mile east of Missouri Route C just southeast of the town of Norwood in southern Wright County. The stream flows in a meandering southerly direction past Denlow on Missouri Route 76; east of Champion; just west of Gentryville on Missouri Route 14; and Bertha to its confluence with Bryant Creek just south of Bertha. The elevation of the confluence is 722 ft (220 m).
A post office called Bertha was established in 1903, and remained in operation until 1956.An early postmaster gave the community the first name of his daughter, Bertha Hawkins.
