Big Brother Slavnih

Big Brother Slovenija is the Slovenian version of the international reality television franchise Big Brother created by producer John de Mol in 1997. The show was originally broadcast on Kanal A in 2007, 2008, 2015 and 2016. A celebrity season was aired in 2010 on POP TV. The show followed a number of contestants, known as housemates, who are isolated from the outside world for an extended period of time in a custom built house and trying to avoid being evicted by the public with the aim of winning a large cash prize at the end of the run.

The house

Big Brother Slovenija 2015 was filmed in Serbia, where the regional version of Big Brother Veliki Brat is filmed. The house is located in Belgrade, in the urban neighborhood of Kosutnjak. The house was built in 2006 for the Serbian Big Brother. The house consists of a confessional, a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, a dining room, a bathroom, a pantry, a garden and an extra space called Elite section, used throughout the season as a secret room. The house also has a swimming pool.

2016

Big Brother Slovenija was back in Slovenia, however, it is not located next to the Pro Plus building, but in Vevče near the tennis courts.

It is based upon the Dutch series of the same name, it premiered on Network Ten on 23 April 2001 and lasted twelve weeks until the live finale on 16 July 2001. Big Brother 1 proved to be an early ratings success. In total, the season averaged 1.4 million viewers, thus making it the fourth highest rated season to date. Big Brother 2003, also known as Big Brother 3, was the third season of the Australian reality television series Big Brother. The season lasted 86 days, starting on 27 April 2003 and ending on 21 July 2003. The season was the most complicated to date with housemates starting in two separate houses - a "round house" and a "square house". Housemate Benjamin Archbold was sent in first and spent the entire first day by himself. Other housemates were progressively admitted. On Night 22, all Housemates were locked into their respective bedrooms and a construction crew spent the night merging the two houses and revealing the hidden swimming pool and kitchen that had been in between the two smaller houses. Housemates were released into their new combined house on the morning of Day 23. Later in the day, a bathroom linking the two bedrooms was revealed.

The Pfau–Crichton Cottage, best known as Chinaberry, is a historic cottage in Mobile, Alabama. The 1+12-story, wood-frame, Gulf Coast cottage was completed in 1862. The house was built by the Pfau family, but its best known resident was Miss Anne Randolph Crichton, known for the elaborate gardens that she developed on the property. She enlisted in the Navy at the outbreak of World War I and continued her service until retirement, in the 1950s. She traveled extensively in Europe during the 1930s, maintaining scrapbooks that recorded her visits to various art museums, gardens, and monuments. She was the last direct descendant of Hugh Randolph Crichton, the founder of the Mobile County town of Crichton. Big Brother 2012, also known as Big Brother 13, was the thirteenth series of the British reality television series Big Brother, and the second series to broadcast on Channel 5. The series premiered with a live launch on 5 June 2012 and ran for 70 days, concluding on 13 August 2012. The series was originally planned to run for thirteen weeks, but was cut back to ten weeks in order to accommodate Celebrity Big Brother 10. The series was won by Luke Anderson, who won half of the £100,000 prize fund, with the remainder taken by Conor McIntyre as part of the White Room twist. Anderson is the second transgender contestant to win the show, the first being Nadia Almada who won the show back in 2004. The runner-up was Adam Kelly. The series was announced in April 2011 when Channel 5 signed a two-year contract to air the show. With Big Brother 12 having been broadcast in autumn 2011, this is the first series to air in the show's regular summer period on Channel 5 since it acquired the show from Channel 4 in 2011.

Big Brother Slovenija 2016 is the fourth main season of the Slovenian version of Big Brother, which is broadcast on Kanal A. This season launched on Friday 26 February 2016. The host of the show this season is Manja Plešnar. The prize will be €50,000. This season Big Brother house is located in Vevče, Ljubljana, Slovenia.
