Big Brother Titans is the joint South African and Nigerian edition of the Big Brother franchise. The theme for the first season was "Ziyakhala Wahala". The show features housemates from South Africa and Nigeria.
The show premiered on 15 January 2023 on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29 and ended on 2 April 2023. [1] The first season was won by Khosi Twala, while Kanaga Jnr was the runner-up. [2]
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Lawrence Maleka were co-hosts of the show, and it was sponsored by Flutterwave, Bamboo and Lotto Star. [3] According to the organizers of the show, MultiChoice, the prize money for the winner of the first season was $100,000 (R1.8 million/₦46 million). [4]
A virtual audition was held to select contestants for the show from 6 to 22 October 2022. Interested contestants were told to record and submit a two-minute video stating why they should appear on the show. [5]
On Day 0, 20 contestants entered the house, evenly split by country and by male and female. [6] On Day 4, four more contestants entered the house. [7] Housemates were later put into pairs until Week 7. [8] Each pair would have a male and a female and have both countries represented.

^Note 3 : In week 7, Tsatsii disobeyed Big Brother's rules by discussing nominations with other housemates other than her partner. As punishment, Big Brother revoked the Royals' Head of House immunity and placed them up for eviction. [12]
^Note 4 : In week 8, Big Brother announced that the pairs had been dissolved and all housemates would go back to competing as individuals until the finale. Ipeleng won the Super Veto Power Holder, guaranteeing her a spot in the finale, Head of House for the week, and the power to choose a housemate to take to the finale. [13]
^Note 5 : In week 9, there was no save and replace due to the Super Veto Power won by Ipeleng in week 8. She chose to take Ebubu to the finale. [14]
^Note 6 : In weeks 10 and 11, the penultimate and final weeks, there was no save and replace.
^Note 7 : In week 10, both Thabang and Yvonne received 12 points to save and the tie was broken by the Rest of Africa vote in which Yvonne received more votes than Thabang.
Big Brother is a reality competition television franchise created by John de Mol Jr., first broadcast in the Netherlands in 1999 and subsequently syndicated internationally. The show features contestants called "housemates" or "HouseGuests" who live together in a specially constructed house that is isolated from the outside world. The name is inspired by Big Brother from George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, and the housemates are continuously monitored during their stay in the house by live television cameras as well as personal audio microphones. Throughout the course of the competition, they are voted out until only one remains and wins the cash prize.

Big Brother 2001, also known as Big Brother 1, was the first season of the Australian reality television series Big Brother. It is based upon the Dutch series of the same name, it premiered on Network Ten on 23 April 2001 and lasted twelve weeks until the live finale on 16 July 2001. Big Brother 1 proved to be an early ratings success. In total, the season averaged 1.4 million viewers, thus making it the fourth highest rated season to date. This season aired for a total of 85 days, with evictions occurring once every week beginning with the second week. In total, fourteen Housemates competed in Big Brother 1. The original twelve entered on the first night, with two intruders entering at a later date. Ultimately, Housemate Ben Williams was later announced as the winner of the series, with Blair McDonough becoming the Runner-Up.
Big Brother Naija, formerly known as Big Brother Nigeria, is a Nigerian reality competition television series, based on the Big Brother television franchise. On the show, contestants live in an isolated house and compete for a large cash prize and other material prizes at the end of the show, by avoiding being evicted from the house by viewers who vote for their favourite housemates to remain in the show.
Big Brother Portugal is the Portuguese version of the international reality television franchise Big Brother, produced by Endemol for Portuguese channel TVI. TVI launched the show in 2000. Since its beginning, it has been a great success.
Big Brother Africa 3 is the third series of the Big Brother Africa reality television show produced by Endemol. The season began airing on 24 August 2008 and run 91 days ending 23 November 2008.
Big Brother Africa 5 was the fifth season of the Big Brother Africa reality television series produced by Endemol. The season premiered on Sunday, July 18, 2010 and was broadcast by M-Net and M-NetAfrica for 91 days, concluding on October 17, 2010 when Nigeria's Uti was crowned the ultimate winner. Each week the Housemates nominated two of their own and the public voted to either save or evict them until only 5 Housemates remained on finale night. The grand prize for this season was initially $200,000, however, due to the strike that took place on Day 6, the grand prize was decreased by ten percent meaning that the winner will now receive $180,000. Since that incident and toward the end of the series, the grand prize has been reinstated as $200,000 although this reinstatement was never formally announced to the housemates and the public. 14 African countries took part in this year's series, namely: Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe). This season also use some of the game mechanics from the Secret Story franchise.
Bigg Boss is an Indian Tamil-language version of the reality television program of the same name. The program follows the Big Brother format developed by Endemol in the Netherlands. Since its premiere on June 25, 2017 the show has rolled out eight seasons and one spin-off version. As of now, a total of 159 contestants have participated in Bigg Boss. Bigg Boss has aired a total of 734 episodes and currently, season 8 is on air.

Ex-housemate Ebuka Obi-Uchendu from season one continued as the host. The winner won ₦60 million worth of prizes.

Big Brother VIP 1 was the first season of Big Brother VIP, hosted by Arbana Osmani. The season began airing on 5 October 2021 on Top Channel, and ended after 137 days on 18 February 2022. The viewers can watch for the whole season live from the house in two live pay-per-view channels, with the name Big Brother VIP 1 and Big Brother VIP 2, which are available on Albanian TV platform DigitAlb. The two opinionists in the live evictions shows, were Arbër Hajdari and Balina Bodinaku.

Kalu Anaga Emmanuel Eme popularly known as Kanaga Jnr, is a Nigerian actor, model, influencer and TV personality. He gained a prominence as the first Runner-up of Big Brother Titans Season 1. He played the lead role of Kachi Okezie on MTV Shuga Naija Season 5.
