Big Brother Second Life (BBSL) was a virtual version of Big Brother, produced by Endemol Netherlands in the virtual world of Second Life. [1]
Fifteen Second Life contestants from three time zones were chosen to participate. The contest to become a contestant began on December 1, 2006. Contestants have to spend at least 8 hours a day in the transparent virtual Big Brother house for a total of one month, [2] and completed various tasks such as building replicas of famous buildings. Their fate was decided by other Second Life residents, who voted on which contestants would be allowed to stay.
The Big Brother island, where residents applied to become contestants, contained five transparent residential units, and a Big Brother nightclub. [2] During the course of the competition, several BB competitors kept online diaries of their participation. [3]
The contest ended on January 4, 2007, with the winner receiving their own virtual island. [1] The winner was Madlen Flint.

Big Brother is a reality competition television franchise created by John de Mol Jr., first broadcast in the Netherlands in 1999 and subsequently syndicated internationally. The show features contestants called "housemates" or "HouseGuests" who live together in a specially constructed house that is isolated from the outside world. The name is inspired by Big Brother from George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, and the housemates are continuously monitored during their stay in the house by live television cameras as well as personal audio microphones. Der Container Exklusiv is a 2006 German TV Endemol game-show production, with the format of early Big Brother Germany (BB) TV shows. There were 18 contestants. The show was broadcast on Premiere channel, which is the broadcaster that showed the 24-hour streaming of German Big Brother. The show began on 27 February 2006 and was meant to finish on 31 July 2006, but due to poor ratings/subscriber levels, the show finished officially on 5 June 2006, with final rounds of votes among all who remained. The prize for the winner was 150,000 Euro originally, but due to the shortened season, the final prize was 100,000 Euro. The presenter was Christian Möllmann, a housemate in BB2 Germany. They used house number 9 from Big Brother Germany 6. The show started with 6 Housemates, adding a few each month. Nominations took place on Mondays, at 2-week intervals. Each Housemate nominated 1 person. Evictions were on alternate Mondays to the nominations, and the evicted Housemate was decided by a public vote of TV viewers.
VIP Brother 4, also referred to as VIP Brother 2012 was the fourth season of the reality show VIP Brother in Bulgaria and the ninth season of the Big Brother format overall. It commenced on Nova Television on September 16, 2012 and lasted for two months, ending on November 17, 2012. It was immediately followed by an All-Stars edition. It was the first season to air more than two years after the family edition and more than three years after the third celebrity edition. Niki Kanchev returned as the show's main presenter for the Live shows on Monday on Wednesday, with Aleksandra Sarchadjieva being the presenter for the daily episodes.
Big Brother All-Stars was the first season of the all-star spin-off of Big Brother and the tenth season of the Big Brother format in Bulgaria overall and featured housemates from previous seasons of the show, as well as from other reality formats such as Music Idol, Survivor and X Factor. The all-star edition commenced on 19 November 2012 on Nova Television right after the fourth-season finale of VIP Brother and lasted for a total of 29 days, ended on 17 December 2012. Together with VIP Brother 1 it holds the record for shortest season of the format in Bulgaria so far. Nikola Nasteski "Lester" won with Nayden Naydenov "Ned" as the runner-up.
Malayalee House was an Indian Malayalam TV reality show which aired on Surya TV. It was an adaptation of Big Brother. The first season started airing on 5 May 2013, and ended on 30 August 2013. Revathi was the host for the show. Rahul Easwar was declared the winner of the first season, followed by Sindhu Joy as first runner up and Thinkal Bhal second runner up.
Gran Hermano VIP is a reality television series broadcast in Spain on Telecinco produced by Endemol. It is the celebrity version of Gran Hermano and part of the Big Brother franchise first developed in the Netherlands. The first edition of the program was broadcast in 2004. As of September 2019, 7 editions of the show have aired.
HaAh HaGadol 10 is the tenth season of the Israeli version of the reality show Big Brother. The season premiered on 1 January 2020 on Reshet 13. Applications for this season started on 2 September 2018 after season 9 ended on 1 September 2018.
