William David Young (born 1956) is an American retired law enforcement officer and the 15th Sheriff of Clark County from January 6,2003,to January 2,2007. [1] He is a member of the Republican Party.
On May 4,2005,Young supported a tax increase in Clark County for new officers. [2]
On March 14,2007,Young was hired by Station Casinos. [3]
On September 6,2013,Young declined to run for a second term as Clark County Sheriff in 2014. [4]
On August 16,2016,Young and former Democratic Washoe County Sheriff Mike Haley endorsed Nevada Question 1 ballot. [5]

The company purchased several sites that were gaming-entitled,meaning that major casinos can be built at that location without additional approvals. There are only a limited number of such sites available in the Las Vegas area. Station Casinos has also branched out into managing casinos that they do not own. Red Rock Resorts,Inc. is a publicly traded holding company that owns a portion of Station Casinos.
Klondike Hotel and Casino was a hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise,Nevada,in the United States. The property began as the Kona Kai Motel in 1962,and was purchased by Ralph Engelstad in 1969. The motel was sold to John Woodrum,who renamed it as the Klondike Inn in 1976. A casino was eventually added,and the Klondike became popular among local residents. In 2005,the Klondike was sold to Royal Palm Las Vegas,which planned to replace it with a casino and condo hotel resort known as Paramount Las Vegas. The Klondike closed in June 2006,and was demolished in March 2008. Royal Palm Las Vegas had difficulty obtaining financing for the Paramount project,and the land was put up for sale later in 2008. A Harley-Davidson dealership opened on the former Klondike property in 2014.
Silverton is a 300-room hotel and casino in Enterprise,Nevada,near the southern end of the Las Vegas Valley. It features a rustic lodge theme and a 65,556 sq ft (6,090.4 m2) casino. It is owned and operated by Ed Roski Jr.,and is located three miles south of the Las Vegas Strip. Roski purchased an 80-acre parcel in 1989,and originally planned to build an industrial warehouse on the site,before deciding on a casino instead. In 1993,he partnered with Boomtown,Inc. to build a hotel and casino on 56 acres of the property. Roski built the project through a company of his,with financing from Boomtown,Inc.

Eastside Cannery Casino and Hotel is a closed locals casino on the Boulder Strip in Sunrise Manor,Nevada,owned and operated by Boyd Gaming. The Eastside Cannery includes a 63,876 sq ft (5,934.3 m2) casino and 307 rooms in a 16-story tower. It was developed by Cannery Casino Resorts at a cost of $250 million. It is a sister property to the original Cannery Casino and Hotel,opened in North Las Vegas in 2003.
Texas Station was a casino hotel in North Las Vegas,Nevada. It was owned and operated by Station Casinos. Texas native Frank Fertitta Jr.,the hotel-casino's original owner,chose the Texas theme to appeal to customers from his home state. Fertitta sold the hotel-casino for $95 million to Station Casinos,his former company,prior to its opening on July 12,1995. It was the largest hotel-casino in North Las Vegas at the time of its opening,with a 60,000 sq ft (5,600 m2) casino and a six-story,200-room hotel.
Boulder Station is a hotel and casino located in Sunrise Manor,Nevada on Boulder Highway. It is owned and operated by Station Casinos. Groundbreaking began on August 5,1993. The project was built at a cost of $103 million,and opened on August 23,1994. An expansion in 1995 added a child-care facility,an 11-screen movie theater,and a video game arcade. A $50 million renovation took place in 2008,to compete against the new Eastside Cannery. A renovation of the hotel's 300 rooms was completed in 2011.

Aliante is a master-planned community located in North Las Vegas,Nevada. The Algiers Hotel was an Arabian/Persian-themed hotel located at 2845 South Las Vegas Boulevard on the Las Vegas Strip in Winchester,Nevada. The Algiers opened on November 25,1953,as a 110-room sister property to the adjacent Thunderbird hotel and casino. The Algiers was noted for mostly retaining its original design throughout its operation,giving it the appearance of an older Las Vegas hotel. In 1991,the property was earmarked for possible condemnation,allowing for the realignment of nearby streets in order to reduce traffic.
