Halkirk is a village in central Alberta, Canada within the County of Paintearth No. 18. It is located 122 kilometres (76 mi) east of Red Deer at the intersection of Highway 12 and Highway 855. Founded in 1912, Halkirk was named after Halkirk, Scotland. With commercial operations beginning on December 1, 2012, Capital Power Corporation operates Alberta's third largest wind farm, with 83 Vestas windmills in the area totalling 150MW capacity.

The Peetz Table Wind Complex is a 430.2 megawatt (MW) wind facility in Logan County west of the town of Peetz in northeastern Colorado. The first 29.7 MW phase of construction called Peetz Table Wind, also known as Ridge Crest Wind, became the largest wind farm in the state upon its completion in 2001. A second 400.5 MW construction phase, including the 201 MW Logan Wind Energy Center and the 199.5 MW Peetz Table Wind Energy Center, reclaimed the distinction upon its completion in 2007.

The project has a nameplate capacity of 300 MW and was the highest capacity wind farm in Canada from its opening in August 2013 to May 2014.
Ocean Wind is a proposed utility-scale offshore wind farm to be located on the Outer Continental Shelf approximately 15 miles (24 km) off the coast of Atlantic City, New Jersey. It is being developed by Ørsted US Offshore Wind in conjunction with Public Service Enterprise Group (PSE&G). Construction is planned to begin in the early 2020s; expected commissioning is in 2024. The closed Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station would provide a transmission point for energy generated by the wind farm. It will be the largest producer of wind power in New Jersey and largest offshore wind farm in the United States.
The Travers Solar Project is a photovoltaic power station under construction in Vulcan County, Alberta. When completed in late 2022, it will become the largest photovoltaic power station in Canada with a nameplate capacity of 465 MWAC.
