Bolognetta (Sicilian: Bulugnetta) is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Palermo in the Italian region Sicily, located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) southeast of Palermo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,632 and an area of 27.6 square kilometres (10.7 sq mi). [1] In the 17th century Bolognetta was a fief of the Mancini family with the name of Ogliastro.
