Boloram Das (Balram) is an Indian actor who has appeared in Hindi, English and Assamese films. He is best known for his roles in Badlapur Boys , Gabbar is Back and High Jack .
Das was born in Guwahati, Assam. He completed his early education from Lal Singh Academy, Kharghuli, Guwahati, Assam and graduated in biochemistry from B. Borooah College, Guwahati, Assam. He had an interest in acting from childhood.[ citation needed ] He was associated with theatre group JYOTI from a young age and always wanted to pursue a career in acting.[ citation needed ] He acted in plays under his Guru Balin Chaudhury, Dilip Sharma, Neelu Chakrabarty and Bhupen Borkotoky.[ citation needed ] In 1992 he was awarded Best Child Actor in the 25th Allahabad Theatre Festival. [1] He achieved the Gold Medal in Mimicry during Assam Youth Festival organized by Guwahati University. [2]
After completing his graduation in 2004 he moved to Delhi with the hope of joining the National School of Drama. Though he failed to gain admission on the first attempt he continued to work in Delhi as a sales executive for a software company while working improve his language skills.[ citation needed ] He gained admission on this second attempt in 2006.[ citation needed ] After graduating from NSD, Das joined the National School of Drama Repertory Company and worked there for six months as a B grade artist. In the year 2010 Boloram das [4] joined Wizcraft International Company which started its new venture Kingdom of dreams in Gurgaon (Haryana).[ citation needed ] He worked as an actor in the musical play "Zangoora". During his time with Wizcraft he acted in around 800 shows before finally moving to Mumbai in 2013 to try his luck in Bollywood.[ citation needed ] He has acted in almost 30 plays.[ citation needed ] Das made his mark in theatre not only as an actor but as a director too having directed three plays: "Romeo and Juliet", "Mayongor Bez" and "Miss Julie".[ citation needed ]
Das [5] started his acting career with the English Language film The Black Russian [6] directed by Carlos Valle and Paul Sidhu in the year 2013. Next year he appeared in his first Bollywood movie Badlapur Boys . Since then he has acted in many Bollywood films like Gabbar Is Back , High Jack and Karwaan where he played the role of an iPad Man and a Cargo officer respectively. Some of his upcoming Bollywood Films are Om and Pepper Chicken. Recently he was widely appreciated for his negative role in Sony Liv Original Film Welcome Home.[ citation needed ]
Besides working in Hindi films Das continued to work in his vernacular Assamese and English language films. His first Assamese venture was Antareen [7] released in 2017. In the same year he appeared in another Assamese movie named Beautiful Lives. [8] On the other hand, his latest release in English language is Interconnect [9] in 2018.
Apart from working on big screen Das acted in many short films in both Hindi and Assamese language. Some of his notable short films are Do ke teen? (Hindi), Liakat (Assamese), Mirchi Light [10] (Hindi) etc.[ citation needed ]
He has acted in Web Series like Boygiri (2017) and Typewriter (2019). He is a much known face in Indian television as he regularly appears in TVC. He has appeared in commercial like Parle Goldstar Coockies [11] with Amitabh Bachhan, Hajmola [12] [13] [14] with Ajay Devgn, Axis Bank, [15] Dairy Milk, Hyundai, [16] Swiggy [17] food delivery app, Tata Sky, Tata Docomo, Eichar [18] and Ram Bandhu Papad [19] are some of his popular TVC.
Das was brought up in a family of four siblings in Guwahati, Assam. He is married to actor Tina Bhatia who he met during his time in NSD. After many years of friendship they finally got married in 2014.

Das started receiving awards from a very young age. He received two prestigious awards before venturing into films. He received Best Child Actor award in 25th Akhil Bharatiya Natya Samaroh, Allahabad in the year 1992. He also received Gold Medal in Mimicry in Assam Youth Festival organized by Gauhati University in the year 2003.
His first Assamese film Antareen [39] got him his first award for a film actor. He received Best Supporting Actor at 7th Assam state film award [40] [41] from Government of Assam in the year 2015-16. He has received two state nominations also.

Zubeen Garg is an Indian singer–songwriter, composer, lyricist, music director, music producer, actor, film director, film producer, screenwriter, poet and philanthropist. Assamese cinema is the Indian film industry of Assamese language. It is based in Assam, India. The industry was born in 1935 when Jyoti Prasad Agarwala released his movie Joymoti. Since then the Assamese cinema has developed a slow-paced, sensitive style. In the beginning the industry were called Jollywood, for Agarwala's Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio.
Bhabendra Nath Saikia was a novelist, short-story writer, editor and film director from Assam, India. Saikia received his doctorate in physics from the University of London. He began his career as a reader in the Department of Physics, University of Guwahati. He later played an important role in the publication of college level textbooks in the Assamese language during his tenure as the Secretary of the Co-ordination Committee for production of textbooks in regional languages.

The film was initially released on 7 February 2014 in the state of Assam and later on 7 March 2014 in selected theaters across rest of India via PVR Director's Rare.
The Prag Cine Awards 2014 ceremony, presented by the Prag Network, honored the actors, technical achievements, and films censored in 2013 from Assam and took place on 22 March 2014, at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium in Bangalore, India. Actors duos Kopil Bora and Zerifa Wahid hosted the show. Veteran litterateur Arun Sharma, Kannada film director Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar and Bollywood film actress Mahima Chaudhary inaugurated the event.

Badlapur is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language neo-noir action thriller film directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Sunil Lulla under Maddock Films and Eros International. Based on the novel Death's Dark Abyss by Italian writer Massimo Carlotto, the film stars Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, with Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam, Vinay Pathak, Kumud Mishra, Divya Dutta and Radhika Apte in supporting roles.
Rochak Kohli is an Indian music director for Bollywood films. He made his music debut in Shoojit Sircar's romantic comedy Vicky Donor with "Pani Da Rang". The song was made in collaboration with Ayushmann Khurrana, the lead of the film. "Pani Da Rang" won the best song of 2012 at the Global Indian Music Academy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and Big Star Entertainment awards. The song also won the best "Music and Lyrics Debut" at the Mirchi Music Awards.
Badlapur Boys is a 2014 Hindi-language sports drama film directed by Shailesh Verma and produced by A. Muthu and Salim Tanwar. It stars Nishan, Saranya Mohan, Annu Kapoor and Puja Gupta in lead roles. Ankit (Saurabh) Sharma played the character of Deenu in this film. The film is about a team of Kabaddi players in a family romantic drama with sports as a backdrop. It is a remake of the Tamil hit film Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu. Bollywood editor A. Muthu, who has edited more than 50 films, obtained the remake rights of the Tamil film and produced this film.
The Prag Cine Awards North-East 2015 ceremony, presented by the Prag Network, honored the actors, technical achievements, and films censored in 2014 from Assam and rest of Northeast India, and took place on 21–22 March 2015, at the Chowkidingee field in Dibrugarh, Assam. This was the first time when films produced in other Northeastern states were also honored in this ceremony. Assamese actress Nishita Goswami and television host Nabish Alam hosted the show. Film fraternities from Northeast as well as Bollywood personalities such as Neha Dhupia, Gulshan Grover, Adil Hussain were present in this event.
Rajni Basumatary is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, producer and actor from Assam, India. She debuted as a director in 2014 with the Assamese language drama film Raag. The 2019 Boro language film, Jwlwi: The Seed was written, directed and produced by her. It won several awards including the Assam State Film awards for Best Actor (Female) and Best Film in Other Language category, the Jury’s Special Award at Bengaluru International Film Festival 2020, the Jury’s Special Mention at Guwahati International Film Festival 2019, Prag Cine Awards for Best Film in other than Assamese language and Sailadhar Baruah Film Awards for Best Screenplay. Her third directorial film Gorai Phakhri premiered at the Vancouver International Film Festival in 2023. It won Best Film at the 29th Kolkata International Film Festival under the Indian Language Films category. She was awarded Best Director at the 6th Sailadhar Baruah Awards. The film won the Gautama Buddha Award for Best Narrative Feature Film at the Nepal International Film Festival. She was awarded the Director's Vision Award at the 21st Indian Film Festival Stuttgart.
"Jeena Jeena" is a Hindi song from the 2015 Hindi film Badlapur. Composed by Sachin–Jigar, the song is sung by Pakistani singer, Atif Aslam, with lyrics penned by Dinesh Vijan and Priya Saraiya. The music video of the track features actors Varun Dhawan, Yami Gautam and Atif Aslam. The song was one of the biggest hits of 2015.

Karwaan is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language road comedy-drama film written by Bejoy Nambiar and directed by debutant Akarsh Khurana for producers Ronnie Screwvala and Priti Rathi Gupta. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan, Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar in lead roles. It was released on 3 August 2018
Guwahati Theatre Festival is an annual theatre festival held in Guwahati city of Assam state, India. The festival is organized by G Plus, an English-language weekly tabloid newspaper in Guwahati. The festival aims to provide a platform to performing groups to showcase their productions before a new audience in the Guwahati city and North East region.
