Bonab (Persian : بناب‎, also Romanized as Bonāb; also known as Banū, Bonāb-e Şafī Khānī, and Bonū)^[1] is a village in Dadenjan Rural District, Meymand District, Firuzabad County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its existence was noted, but its population was not reported.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Dadenjan Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Meymand District, Firuzabad County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 2,234, in 490 families. The rural district has 17 villages.

Meymand District is a district (bakhsh) in Firuzabad County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 25,765, in 5,948 families. The District has one city: Meymand.
