Boxing in Australia refers to the sport of boxing held in Australia.
The influential traditional martial arts, olympic wrestling and brazilian jiu-jitsu have shaped MMA in Australia, along with the combat sports of boxing and kickboxing/muay thai.[ citation needed ]
The states and territories of Australia have different sanctioning bodies and rules. Sanctioning bodies include: Combat Sports Authority (NSW) and the Professional Boxing and Combat Sports Board (Victoria).
Boxing Australia is the national sporting body that runs amateur boxing in Australia and Australian National Boxing Federation which governs Professional boxing in Australia.

Lance Revill is the former president of the New Zealand Professional Boxing Association (NZPBA), a New Zealand boxing promoter, referee, and a former New Zealand professional boxer. Revill compiled a professional record of 21 wins and 13 losses, with 13 knockouts, in light heavyweight bouts fought in New Zealand and Australia between 1974 and 1990.
Turori George also known as Toro George born in Rarotonga, Cook Islands is a Cook Islander/New Zealander amateur featherweight and professional feather/super featherweight boxer of the 1960s and '70s who as an amateur won a bronze medal at featherweight losing to eventual silver medal winner Ali Juma of Kenya in the Boxing at the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth, Western Australia, and as a professional won the New Zealand Boxing Association featherweight title, Australasian featherweight title, and Commonwealth featherweight title, his professional fighting weight varied from 123+3⁄4 lb, i.e. featherweight to 130+3⁄4 lb, i.e. super featherweight.

Michael John Conlan is an Irish professional boxer who challenged for the WBA (Regular) featherweight title in March 2022. As an amateur, he reached number one in the AIBA bantamweight world rankings, with achievements that include a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics and gold at the 2015 World Championships. He has been one of Ireland's most successful amateur fighters of all time. He turned professional in 2016 after misgivings with the amateur sport, and had his first bout in 2017.

Sulley Shittu is a Ghanaian amateur fly/bantamweight, and professional bantamweight boxer of the 1960s and 1970s who as an amateur represented Ghana at flyweight in the Boxing at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, losing to John McCafferty of the Republic of Ireland, won silver at the 1965 All-Africa Games in Brazzaville, won a gold medal at flyweight in the Boxing at the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston, Jamaica, represented Ghana at bantamweight in the Boxing at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, losing to Horst Rascher of West Germany, and won a gold medal at bantamweight in the Boxing at the 1970 British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Scotland and as a professional won the African Boxing Union (ABU) bantamweight title, and Commonwealth bantamweight title.
