Brebes District is an administrative district ( Indonesian: Kecamatan) containing the capital of Brebes Regency, in Central Java Province of Indonesia. It is bordered by the Java Sea to the north (the coastal desa of Randusanga Kulon including the lower reaches and mouth of the Pemali River), by Tegal City (West Tegal District and Margadana District) and Tegal Regency (Dukuhturi District and Adiwerna District) to the east, by Jatibarang District to the south and by Wanasari District to the west. It covers 92.23 km2 and had a population of 157,149 at the 2010 Census [3] and 182,421 at the 2020 Census; [4] the official estimate as at end 2023 was 189,721. [2]

In early January 1950, DI/TII forces led by Amir Fatah briefly occupied Brebes. Later, they retreated from the town after facing a battle from TNI. [5]

Banyumas Regency is an inland regency in the southwestern part of Central Java province in Indonesia. Its capital is the town of Purwokerto, but that town no longer has a central administration and is split over four of the districts within the Regency, with a combined area of 41.65 km2 and a population of 234,467 as of mid-2023. The Regency covers an area of 1,391.15 km2, and had a population of 1,554,527 at the 2010 Census and 1,776,918 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate of the population as of mid-2023 was 1,828,573.

Tegal Regency is one of the regencies in the northwest part of Central Java province of Indonesia, with an area of 970.95 km2 (374.89 sq mi). The administrative center used to be in Tegal City, in the northwest corner of the regency, but then Tegal City was administratively separated from the regency and formed into its own territory. The city was later replaced as the administrative center of Tegal Regency by Slawi Town, which is a suburb about 20 km (12 mi) to the south of the city and within the district boundary. The regency had a population of 1,394,839 at the 2010 Census and 1,596,996 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 1,717,111.

East Flores Regency is a regency in East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia. Established in 1958, the regency has its seat (capital) in Larantuka on Flores Island. The regency encompasses the eastern tip of the island of Flores, together with all of the adjacent islands of Adonara and Solor to the east of Flores, with some much smaller offshore islands. Manggarai Regency is a regency in East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia, situated on the island of Flores. Established in 1958 to encompass the 6,924.18 km2 area of the lands of the indigenous Manggarai people, the regency was reduced in area and in population by the separation of the more western districts to form West Manggarai Regency on 25 February 2003 and of the more eastern districts to form East Manggarai Regency on 17 July 2007.
