Brezovo (pronounced [ˈbɾeːzɔʋɔ] ) is a settlement in the Municipality of Litija in central Slovenia. Traditionally the area was part of Lower Carniola and is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Central Sava Statistical Region; until January 2014 the municipality was part of the Central Slovenia Statistical Region. Litija is a town in the Litija Basin in central Slovenia. It is located in the valley of the Sava River, east of the capital Ljubljana, in the traditional region of Upper Carniola. The entire municipality is now included in the Central Sava Statistical Region; until January 2014 it was part of the Central Slovenia Statistical Region. The town is home to about 6,500 people.

The local church is dedicated to Saint Nicholas and belongs to the Parish of Gabrovka. It was first mentioned in written documents dating to 1373. In 1850 its nave was extended and a belfry added. [3]

His reputation evolved among the faithful, as was common for early Christian saints, and his legendary habit of secret gift-giving gave rise to the traditional model of Santa Claus through Sinterklaas.
