"Brrr" is a song by German singer-songwriter Kim Petras. The song was released on 20 January 2023 by Republic Records as the first and only promotional single from Petras' major-label debut studio album Feed the Beast (2023). The track features production work by Ilya. [2] [3]
NME 's Emma Wilkes described the song as an "industrial-inspired pop track". [4] Writers for Billboard called "Brrr" a "hypnotic" hyperpop track, [2] [5] and the Dallas Voice said the song has "industrial beats and bad bitch energy". [6] Cillea Houghton of American Songwriter said, "The song features a throbbing beat layered by Petras’ crisp vocals as she takes on the persona of a fearless character." [7]
After posting a snippet of the song on 8 January through her social media, Petras officially announced the release of the song on 11 January.[ citation needed ]
Petras performed the song on Late Night with Seth Meyers on 23 January, four days after its release. [8] She also performed it on 1 March at the 2023 Billboard Women in Music ceremony. [9]
The Pixies are an American alternative rock band formed in 1986, in Boston, Massachusetts. Until 2013, the band consisted of Black Francis, Joey Santiago, Kim Deal and David Lovering (drums). They disbanded acrimoniously in 1993 but reunited in 2004. After Deal left in 2013, the Pixies hired Kim Shattuck as a touring bassist. She was replaced that year by Paz Lenchantin. She became a full member in 2016, and recorded three studio albums with the band before departing in 2024.

Produced by Ilya, Omer Fedi, Blake Slatkin, Jimmy Napes, and Cirkut and written by them alongside Smith and Petras, "Unholy" is a sexually charged electropop, dance-pop, and synth-pop song with choral and hyperpop influences, which marked a shift away from ballads for Smith. It uses the Phrygian dominant scale and its lyrics are about a family man who cheats on his wife at a strip club.

It was preceded by a promotional single, "Brrr", and the lead single, "Alone" with Nicki Minaj, and includes collaborations with Banks and Sam Smith.
The Feed the Beast World Tour was the third headlining tour by German singer and songwriter Kim Petras, in support of her debut studio album Feed the Beast. The tour commenced on 4 August 2023 in Mountain View and concluded in Milan, Italy on 5 March 2024.
