Bhutan competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. This marked the nation's eighth appearance at the Summer Olympics since its debut in the 1984 Summer Olympics, and the first in which the nation competed in a sport other than archery. The Bhutanese delegation included archer Sherab Zam and shooter Kunzang Choden. Zam was the flag bearer for both the opening and closing ceremonies. Neither of Bhutan's athletes progressed beyond the first round of their events. Bhutan was one of only two countries to have a female-only team at the 2012 Games.
Jasmine Ser Xiang Wei is a Singaporean sports shooter. She competed in the Women's 10 metre air rifle and the 50 metre rifle 3 positions events at the 2012 Summer Olympics. More recently, she won gold in the 50 meter rifle 3 positions category with a Games record at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. She previously won gold at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in the 10 air rifle, and silver in the 50 m rifle 3 positions and the 10 m air rifle pairs and the 50 m rifle pairs at the same Games. She also competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics. When she won silver at the 2006 Asian Games in the 10 m team air rifle event, her sister, Adrienne Ser, was part of the team.
Ole-Kristian Bryhn is a Norwegian sport shooter.
The men's 300 metre free rifle, three positions was a shooting sports event held as part of the Shooting at the 1948 Summer Olympics programme. It was the fourth appearance of the 300 metre rifle three positions event at an Olympic Games. The competition was held on 5 to 6 August 1948, with 36 shooters from 13 nations competing.
