Bulan (Persian : بولان, also Romanized as Būlān, Bolān, Boolan, and Bowlān) [1] is a village in Jamabrud Rural District, in the Central District of Damavand County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 118, in 27 families. [2]

Jamabrud Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Damavand County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 4,773, in 1,476 families. The rural district has 36 villages. The center is in Absard, which as a city is not part of the rural district.
The Central District of Damavand County is a district (bakhsh) in Damavand County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 69,829, in 27,419 families. The District has three cities: Damavand, Kilan, and Absard. The district was established in 1938 as Damavand District as part of Tehran County. Its name was automatically changed to Central District 1946 when it became independent from Tehran County. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Abarshiveh Rural District, Jamabrud Rural District, and Tarrud Rural District.
