Cooverji Hormusji Bhabha more popularly known as C. H. Bhabha was a Parsi businessman who took charge of the Commerce portfolio in the First Cabinet of Independent India (from 15 August 1947). He was in charge of the "Works,Mines and Power" in the interim government that took office on 26 October 1946 (announced on 25 August 1946). [3] [4] Not a very familiar face in the political circuit until he took charge,his nomination was made possible as Azad was keen on having a Parsi in the cabinet. [5]
Before joining the government,Bhabha was a director in the Oriental Insurance Company. He was also the first cabinet minister to head the Special Emergency Committee,which was formed as a reaction to the communal riots breaking out in the capital. [6]
He died suddenly of a heart attack in London on 29 June 1986. [7] [2] At the time of his death,he was one of the last surviving original members of the first cabinet of independent India;Jagjivan Ram,the last surviving original cabinet member,died one week later.

Homi Jehangir Bhabha,FNI,FASc,FRS(30 October 1909 –24 January 1966) was an Indian nuclear physicist who is widely credited as the "father of the Indian nuclear programme". He was the founding director and professor of physics at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR),as well as the founding director of the Atomic Energy Establishment,Trombay (AEET) which was renamed the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in his honour. TIFR and AEET served as the cornerstone to the Indian nuclear energy and weapons programme. He was the first chairman of the Indian Atomic Energy Commission and secretary of the Department of Atomic Energy. By supporting space science projects which initially derived their funding from the AEC,he played an important role in the birth of the Indian space programme.

Menon,a meeting was held in Delhi between the Rajpramukhs of the princely unions and the States Department,at the end of which the Rajpramukhs signed new Instruments of Accession which gave the Government of India the power to pass laws in respect of all matters that fell within the seventh schedule of the Government of India Act 1935.
Chaudhary Ajit Singh was an Indian farmer leader and politician. He was the founder and chief of the Rashtriya Lok Dal,a political party recognised in the state of Uttar Pradesh. He was son of the former Prime Minister of India Chaudhary Charan Singh. He tested positive for COVID-19 and was subsequently admitted to a hospital in Gurugram. He died on 6 May 2021 after his condition deteriorated.
