C42 is a secondary route in Namibia that runs from Grootfontein, Otjozondjupa Region to Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region. [1]

The C42 serves as a link road between the B1 and the B8.

Karibib Air Force Base

Karibib Air Force Base is an air base near the central Namibian town of Karibib. Since 2016, the headquarters of the Namibian Air Force are located here. Air Force Command had previously been at the Grootfontein Air Force Base.

Otavi railway station is located in the mining town of Otavi in Namibia's central Otjozondjupa Region. It is served by a mostly freight railway and limited number of passenger service. The extension of the railway towards the east to Grootfontein is exclusively for freight service.
