Cadet College Palandri, is a military high school, located in Palandri, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan.It is located in the valley of Palandri Azad Kashmir where students are given special training for National security and defense.

Contents

History

The College is spread over an area of about 60 acres. The buildings consist of a double storied Education block, Five Hostels called Jinnah House, Iqbal House, Khan House, Sher House and Karailvi House, Cadets Mess, and Administrative block. The college campus has residential accommodation for the staff. There are several play grounds in the college for outdoor games which include hockey, football, volleyball, basketball, cricket field and an athletic track. The College also has a state of art gymnasium, which provides facilities for weight training, indoor badminton, volleyball and basketball. It also includes an international standard squash court. The pioneer principal of the college was Brig(R) Muhammad Akbar Khan,a very able and decorated Army Officer who played the vital role in development of the college,not only that he ensured full merit in the college. Currently Brig. (Retd.)Dr. Muhammad Khurshid Khan is holding the command over the college. It is best collge for students affiliated with AJK board.

Houses

Cadet College Palandri is a fully residential institution. Cadets are accommodated in the Hostels called "Houses" or "Wings". A House organizes its own social functions, excursion, prep, indoor and outdoor games and sports. Each house is in the charge of a House Master and a House Prefect and one Non Commissioned Officer from Pakistan Army. The college is divided into five houses.

Jinnah House

Jinnah house was the first house constructed for cadets at Cadet College Palandri. It was named after the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The house master of the house is Prof. Muhammad Aleem Khan. While the assistant house master is Lec.Muhammad Adnan Khan. The house prefect of the house was Cadet Saad Kamran Mir. Now it is under the command of Cadet AHSAN HAFEEZ


The house has capacity of accommodating about 110 cadets. House contains 24 four bed rooms , 18 single bed rooms , a 15 bed dome , an office and a laundry room.

Iqbal House

Iqbal house was the second Houses of Cadet College Palandri. It is named after the great poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal. The house master of the house is Prof. Muhammad Arshad .The House Prefect Of This House Is Cadet Moiz-ul-Hassan.

Sher House

It is the forth house of the college. It was named after Col. Sher Muhammad Khan who was a great leader who fought bravely for the freedom of kashmir from Dogra Raj. The house master of the house is Prof . Prof Hafeez ur Rehman. And the House prefect is Cadet Asim Mughal.While assistant house prefect are muaaz Tariq and Majid A.Qadeer

Khan House

It was the third house of the college and was named after a great freedom leader Khan Muhammad Khan. The house master of the house is Prof. Muhammad Raheem Khan.Assistant house master is lecturer Arshad Ali. This house is under command of Wasif Qayyum Mughal.

Kerailvi House

It is the fifth house of the college and was named after Fateh Muhammad Kerailvi who was a freedom leader. The house master of the house is Prof. Raja Raees.

Infrastructure

The college include a mosque, a gymnasium, auditorium, academic and admin blocks, five houses, cadet mess, officers mess, employees colony and the services shops. The Principal's house is on the top.

Cadet life

Cadets starts their day with Fajr prayer. Then there is a morning PT followed by the academic activities. In the evening cadets play games including hockey, football, basketball, cricket, table tennis, badminton, squash, bodybuilding, horse riding, assault course, volleyball, shoot ball, gymnastics, and athletics.
