Calvin Duane Murray (born July 30,1971) is a former baseball player who played outfield in the major leagues from 1999 to 2004 for the San Francisco Giants,Texas Rangers,and Chicago Cubs. He is a 1989 graduate of Dallas' W. T. White High School. [1] He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the first round of the 1989 Major League Baseball Draft,but did not sign,and instead attended the University of Texas. [2] He was the batter facing Randy Johnson when Johnson hit a dove with a fastball in a spring training game in 2001.
He is the younger brother of Kevin Murray,who was a quarterback at Texas A&M University from 1983 to 1986. He is the uncle of 2018 Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray. [3]
Murray, a senior at Dallas' W.T. White High School, will attend the University of Texas next fall on a baseball scholarship. But Murray, ranked the nation's No. 7 prospect by Baseball America, likely will be a high pick in the major league draft June 5.

Deion Luwynn Sanders Sr., is an American football coach and former player who is the head football coach at Jackson State. Nicknamed "Prime Time", "Neon Deion" and "Coach Prime", he played in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and Baltimore Ravens. Sanders was also a baseball outfielder for nine seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, and San Francisco Giants. He won two Super Bowl titles and made one World Series appearance in 1992, making him the only athlete to play in both a Super Bowl and a World Series. Sanders is also the only athlete to suit up for two sports in the same day, suiting up for both the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons.
William Nuschler Clark Jr. is an American professional baseball first baseman who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1986 through 2000. He played for the San Francisco Giants, Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, and St. Louis Cardinals. Clark was known by the nickname of "Will the Thrill." The Major League Baseball Draft is the process by which Major League Baseball (MLB) teams select athletes to play for their organization. High school seniors, college juniors and seniors, and anyone who had never played under a professional contract were considered eligible for the draft. The 1987 MLB Draft took place as a conference call to the Commissioner of Baseball's office in New York from June 2–4. As opposed to the National Football League Draft which appeared on ESPN, no network aired the MLB Draft.
Blake William Beavan is an American former professional baseball pitcher. A first-round draft pick in the 2007 MLB Draft by the Texas Rangers, Beavan was traded to the Seattle Mariners in 2010 in a package of prospects for Cliff Lee. Following a stint at Texas A&M, Murray played college football at Oklahoma, where he won the Heisman Trophy as a junior. Murray was selected first overall by the Cardinals in the 2019 NFL Draft. He was also selected ninth overall by the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB) in the 2018 draft, making him the first player to be drafted in the first round of both sports.
