Cam'Ron Silmon-Craig is an American college football safety for the Colorado Buffaloes. He previously played at Jackson State.

Early life

Silmon-Craig was born in Birmingham, Alabama and attended Trinity Christian High School. In Silmon-Craig's junior season in high school he notched 67 tackles with 14 being for a loss, four sacks, six pass deflections, three interceptions, and one fumble recovery. [1] Silmon-Craig committed to play college football at Jackson State. [2]

College career

Jackson State

Silmon-Craig finished the 2021 season with 48 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and three interceptions. [3] Silmon-Craig had a breakout 2022 season, totalling 61 tackles, a pass breakup, and two interceptions. For his performance he was named first team All-SWAC, and a HBCU All-American. [4] [5] After the conclusion of the 2022 season, Silmon-Craig decide to enter the transfer portal. [6]

Silmon-Craig finished his Jackson State career with 111 tackles, four sacks, five interceptions and two forced fumbles. [7]

Colorado

Silmon-Craig would decide to transfer to Colorado to continue out his college career. [8] [9] In week four of the 2023 season, Silmon-Craig intercepted Caleb Williams becoming the first player to pick him off in the 2023 season, but the Buffaloes would lose to USC 48–41. [10]
