The Capilano Rugby Football Club is a Canadian rugby union team based in West Vancouver, British Columbia. The Capilano Rugby Football Club currently play in the British Columbia Premiership and have won the BC Premier Championship three times.
The Capilano Rugby Football Club is the product of the amalgamation of two rugby clubs, the North Shore All-Blacks and the West Vancouver Barbarians, in 1969. Before the merger the North Shore All-Blacks were dominant in the 1930s capturing the British Columbia championship three years in a row from 1933 to 1935 and again in 1937, 1948, and 1955. The Capilanos continue to be a strong contender in the modern era winning three championships of their own in 2004 and 2005. Most recently, the Capilanos defeated James Bay Athletic Association 22-21 in the 2011-12 BC Premiership final to win their third provincial championship as the Capilano Rugby Football Club. [1]
In 1982 a deal was struck with West Vancouver to designate Klahanie Park the home of North Shore Rugby and continues to be the home ground of the Capilano RFC.
London Scottish Football Club is a rugby union club in England. The club is a member of both the Rugby Football Union and the Scottish Rugby Union. The club is currently playing in the RFU Championship and share the Athletic Ground with Richmond.
Watsonian Football Club is a rugby union club based in Edinburgh and part of the Scottish Rugby Union. The club is connected with George Watson's College as a club for former pupils, and changed its policy in the 1980s to be a fully open club, welcoming players of all abilities regardless of whether they attended the school or not. Hawick Rugby Football Club is an semi-pro rugby union side, currently playing in the Scottish Premiership and Border League. The club was founded in 1885 and are based at Mansfield Park at Hawick in the Scottish Borders.

The Lions, known as Ch'ích'iyúy Elx̱wíḵn in the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) language, are a pair of pointed peaks along the North Shore Mountains in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Along with the Lions Gate Bridge named in their honour, these twin summits have become one of the most recognizable Vancouver landmarks. The city's BC Lions CFL football team is also named in their honour. Lions Gate Entertainment which was founded in Vancouver in July, 1997 is also named for the peaks.

The 1979 New Zealand rugby union tour of England, Scotland and Italy was a series of eleven matches played by the New Zealand national rugby union team in England, Scotland and Italy in October and November 1979. The tour was very successful as the team won ten of the eleven games, including the international matches against Scotland and England. The only team to defeat the All Blacks was the English Northern Division.
