Caroline Fournier

Caroline Fournier (born 7 May 1975) is a retired Mauritian athlete who competed in the discus and hammer throw. [1] She represented her country at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney without reaching the final. She was a two-time African champion in the hammer throw and was also a gold medallist at the 1999 All-Africa Games. Fournier also was twice runner-up in the discus at the African Championships and once runner-up in the hammer.

She has personal bests of 51.54 metres in the discus and 62.06 metres in the hammer, both set in 1996. Both results are also standing Mauritian records.[ citation needed ]

The athletics competition at the 2009 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival was held from 20 to 24 July. The events took place at the Tampere Stadium in Tampere, Finland. Boys and girls born 1992 or 1993 or later participated 36 track and field events, divided evenly between the sexes.

The 4th World Festival of Youth and Students featured an athletics competition among its programme of events. The events were contested in Bucharest, Romania in August 1953. She switched allegiance from the United States to Nigeria in 2019. She represented Nigeria in the shot put at the 2019 World Championships in Doha, Qatar. Earlier that year, she won two medals at the 2019 African Games.

Annette Echikunwoke is a Nigerian-American hammer thrower who lives in Ohio, United States. She was due to represent Nigeria at the 2020 Summer Olympics, but was disqualified due to the negligence of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria. She holds the African area record in hammer throw, with a throw of 75.49 m in Tucson in 2021.
