Carrington Park is a rugby league and soccer stadium in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia.

Carrington Park hosted an A-League Regional Round clash between Adelaide United and Newcastle Jets on 25 January 2012. [1] [2]

Rugby league

On 8 June 2001, Carrington Park hosted its first City versus Country match. Country defeated City 42–10 in front of a crowd of 8,872.

On 26 July 2014, Carrington Park hosted an NRL game between the Penrith Panthers and the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, the Sharks winning 18–16. Another NRL match was played at the ground on Saturday 14 March 2015 between Penrith Panthers and Gold Coast Titans. The Panthers won 40–0. [3]

The record NRL crowd was set on Saturday 26 March 2022 when the match between the Penrith Panthers and the Newcastle Knights attracted 11,253 spectators. [4]

He is known as the defensive coach behind the Penrith Panthers back-to-back premierships in 2021 and 2022. He was previously the head coach of the Italy national team and an assistant coach of the Penrith Panthers in the NRL. During his playing career, Ciraldo played for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, Newcastle Knights and the Penrith Panthers, all in the NRL, and was selected to represent Italy. He primarily played as a second-row or lock.

The 2006 NRL season was the 99th season of professional rugby league football in Australia and the ninth run by the National Rugby League. The lineup of teams remained unchanged from the previous year, with fifteen clubs competing for the 2006 Telstra Premiership. Throughout the 26 rounds of the regular season ten teams from New South Wales, two from Queensland and one each from Victoria, the ACT and New Zealand competed for the minor premiership. Eight of these teams qualified for the four-week finals series, with the Brisbane Broncos eventual victors over the Melbourne Storm in the grand final. Melbourne finished the regular season first so were awarded the minor premiership, but this was later revoked due to the Melbourne Storm salary cap breach.
