Centre de Flacq or Central Flacq is the metropolitan area of Flacq District, located in the center of the district, the village is one of the most developed and popular villages in Mauritius. Home of several commercials and public institutions, the village topped the list of the most developed village in Flacq District. The village is administered by the Centre de Flacq Village Council under the aegis of the Flacq District Council. [2] According to the census made by Statistics Mauritius in 2011, the population was at 15,791. [1] The main source of transportation are taxi and bus service and English was registered as its official language and is highly exercised for notifications and advertisements.

According to the Statistics Act No. 38 of 2000, Statistics Mauritius shall constitute the central statistical authority and depository of all officials statistics produced in Mauritius and as such, shall collect, compile, analyse and disseminate accurate, relevant, timely and high quality statistics and related information on social, demographic, economic and financial activities to serve the needs of public and private users. The headquarters of the statistics office is found in Port Louis.

The local football team is the Faucon Flacq SC, their home stadium is the Stade Auguste Vollaire.

Faucon Flacq Sports Club is a Mauritian football club based in Centre de Flacq, Flacq District. In 2017, they play in the Mauritian Regional League.

Stade Auguste Vollaire is a multi-use stadium in Centre de Flacq, Flacq District, Mauritius. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Faucon Flacq SC. The stadium holds 4,000 people.
