Chainpur is an ancient town in Jaya Prithvi Municipality and headquarters of Bajhang District in the Seti Zone of north-western Nepal. The formerly Village Development Committee was merged to form new municipality from 18 May 2014. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4,143 and had 759 houses in the village. [1] It has a grass runway in town with limited flights. From 1990-2002 the Peace Corps operated in Chainpur.

Jaya Prithvi Municipality Municipality in Seti Zone, Nepal

Jayaprithvi is a municipality and the district headquarter of Bajhang District in Province No. 7 of Nepal that was established on 18 May 2014 by merging the two former Village development committees Rithapata, Chainpur, Hemantabada, Luyanta and Subeda. It lies on the bank of Seti River. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 22,191 people living in 4,015 individual households.

The headquarter Chainpur is situated at the bank of Seti River and Bauli Gaad. Bitthad Bazar is bordered with Baitadi District which is the place of Bitthad Kalika and Kedar. This place was famous for fresh milk and yogurt.
