Jayaprithvi (ancient name Chainpur [ citation needed ]) is a municipality and the district headquarter of Bajhang District in Province No. 7 of Nepal that was established on 18 May 2014 by merging the two former Village development committees Rithapata, Chainpur, Hemantabada, Luyanta and Subeda. [1] [2] It lies on the bank of Seti River. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 22,191 people living in 4,015 individual households. [3]

It has a grass runway in town with limited flights. From 1990-2002 the Peace Corps operated in Chainpur.

Mukundapur is a town in Gaidakot Municipality in eastern part of Nawalparasi District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. It became a municipality in May 2014 by merging the existing Mukundapur, Amarapuri, Gaidakot, Nawalparasi, VDCs. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 7631. According to the 2011 Nepal census, the VDC had a population of 13,027 living in 3,023 houses. Bajhang Airport is an airport located in Jaya Prithvi Municipality serving the district of Bajhang, in Province No. 7 in western Nepal. It was originally opened in October 1976 but ceased to operate after road access to the district headquarter Chainpur was established in 2008. There are plans to reopen the airport after the runway is blacktopped, which is due to be done by 2020.

Shuklaphanta is a municipality in Kanchanpur District in the Mahakali Zone of south-western Nepal. The new municipality was formed by merging two existing villages—Jhalari and Pipaladi—on 18 May 2014. The office of the municipality is that of the former Jhalari village development committee.
