Chantal Liew Li-Shan (born 9 August 1998) is a Singaporean national open water swimmer.
Liew graduated with a degree in Communications and New Media from the National University of Singapore. [1] [2]
Liew dreamed of participating in the SEA Games since she was a child. She started to participate in swimming competitions at the age of 10 and entered the Singapore national team at the age of 16. [3]
In 2017,she won a SEA Games silver in a personal best of 2:21:30 in the women's 10 km open water swim held in Kuala Lumpur and became the first Singapore woman to win a medal in the event,after Thai swimmer Benjaporn Sriphanomthorn was stripped for her silver medal following a failed doping test. Liew became the first Singaporean open water swimming athlete to participate at the Olympic Games after finishing 29th in the 10km race at FINA Olympic Marathon Swim Qualifier in Setubal,thereby qualifying for a place at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. During the Olympics,she ranked 23rd among 25 contestants in the final with a time of 2:08:17.90. [7]
Following the end of 2020 Olympics,Liew announced her retirement from professional swimming career. [3]

Singapore has sent athletes to the celebration of the Olympic Games since 1948,when it was established as a separate British crown colony from the Straits Settlements just over three months before the commencement of the 1948 Summer Olympics. It continued to send a team to the Games until 1964 when the Singaporean delegation competed with Malaysia,which sent a combined team.
Joscelin Yeo Wei Ling is a former Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) from Nov 2006 to Apr 2011 and a former competitive swimmer from Singapore. Yeo won 40 gold medals at the Southeast Asian Games. She also represented Singapore in the Asian Games,Commonwealth Games and Summer Olympics. Yeo was elected as a Rhodes Scholar but never took up the scholarship. During the 2012 London Olympics,she was a TV analyst for certain Asian markets on ESPN Star Sports.

Theresa Goh Rui SiBBM is a Singaporean swimmer and Paralympic medalist,with a bronze at the SB4 100m breaststroke at the 2016 Summer Paralympics. She holds the world records for the SB4 50 metres and 200 metres breaststroke events.

Joseph Isaac Schooling is a former Singaporean professional swimmer who specialises in butterfly,freestyle and medley events. He was the gold medalist in the 100m butterfly at the 2016 Olympics,achieving Singapore's first ever Olympic gold medal. His winning time of 50.39s broke multiple records at the National,Southeast Asian,Asian and Olympic levels.

Lim Min,known as Kimberly Lim,is a Singaporean sailor. She was a multiple medalist in various sailing classes in various editions of the Asian Games and also the champion of the Optimist World Championships in 2011. She participated in the 2020 Summer Olympics.
