Lionel Charles Hamilton Palairet was an English amateur cricketer who played for Somerset and Oxford University. A graceful right-handed batsman,he was selected to play Test cricket for England twice in 1902. Contemporaries judged Palairet to have one of the most attractive batting styles of the period. His obituary in The Times described him as "the most beautiful batsman of all time". An unwillingness to tour during the English winter limited Palairet's Test appearances;contemporaries believed he deserved more Test caps.
Norman Stewart "Mandy" Mitchell-Innes was an amateur cricketer for Somerset,who played in one Test match for England in 1935. Between 1931 and 1949 Mitchell-Innes played 132 first-class matches,appearing 69 times for Somerset,and 43 times for Oxford University. In these matches he scored 6,944 runs,including 13 centuries and a top score of 207. He was well-regarded for the grace of his batting,but his cricket career was limited by both hay fever and his overseas work commitments.
Sir Francis Eden Lacey was an English cricketer,cricket administrator and barrister. Lacey played first-class cricket for Hampshire from 1880 to 1896,either side of the club losing its first-class status between 1886 and 1894;it was during this period that he captained Hampshire in 1888 and 1889. A prolific batsman for Hampshire,he scored over 2,000 runs for the county in 33 first-class appearances,which included a double century against Kent in 1884. As a roundarm slow bowler,he also took 45 wickets for Hampshire,including three five wicket hauls. He made additional appearances in first-class cricket for Cambridge University and the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC),amongst others. In a minor fixture against Norfolk he made 323 runs,which remains the highest individual score in second-class county cricket.
Tom Ormsby Jameson was an Irish first-class cricketer. A right-handed batsman and right-arm fast and leg spin bowler,he played just twice for the Ireland cricket team between 1926 and 1928 in first-class matches,but played 124 first-class matches in all,mainly for Hampshire and the MCC.
William Henry Brereton Evans was a South African-born English first-class cricketer who played 66 times in the early 20th century. An all-rounder,he played county cricket for Worcestershire and Hampshire,as well as representing the Gentlemen against the Players,but he appeared most for Oxford University,whom he represented on 31 occasions. It was said in Wisden in 1914 that he was "one of the best all-round amateurs of his day," and that if he had played more regularly,it was "quite likely" he would have played for England.
Edward Desmond Russell Eagar was an English amateur first-class cricketer who played county cricket for Gloucestershire and Hampshire. Eagar debuted for Gloucestershire whilst still a schoolboy at Cheltenham College,before his matriculation to the University of Oxford,where he played first-class cricket for Oxford University Cricket Club. Following service in the Second World War with the South Wales Borderers,Eagar was appointed as captain and secretary of Hampshire in 1946. Eagar was instrumental,through organisation,captaincy and recruitment,in raising the county team from perennial also-rans to the point where,in the seasons after he retired from playing,it was runner-up and then,in 1961,the champions in the County Championship for the first time in its history. His career spanned from 1935 to 1958,encompassing 363 first-class matches. His 31 years as secretary of Hampshire made him the longest serving secretary in first-class cricket.
James Daniel 'Dan' Piachaud is a former Sri Lankan first-class cricketer. Piachaud studied in England at the University of Oxford,where he made 52 appearances in first-class cricket —the joint-highest amount —and took nearly 150 wickets as an off break bowler. He also played county cricket for Hampshire and first-class cricket for Ceylon.

Frederick Archibald Gresham Leveson Gower was an English first-class cricketer and clergyman. He was a member of the Leveson-Gower family. He played first-class cricket for several teams between 1894 and 1909,while as a clergyman he held a number of ecclesiastical posts across the South of England.
Mark Davies is a former Welsh cricketer. Davies was a right-handed batsman who bowled slow left-arm orthodox. He was born in Neath,Glamorgan.
Harold Watson was an English cricketer active in the 1910s and 1920s,making just over a dozen appearances in first-class cricket. Born at Gooderstone,Norfolk,Watson was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium and who played most of his cricket at minor counties level with Norfolk.
Toby Henry Somerville Pettman is an English first-class cricketer who plays for Nottinghamshire.
