Charles Kwame Sagoe Junior (born 24 July 2004) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left winger for Premier League club Arsenal. [1]

Career

Sagoe Jr. played for Arsenal since U12 level having previously played with Fulham. He progressed through the Arsenal academy and represented the club's under-21 side in the EFL Trophy during the 2021–22 season. [2]

In September 2023, he was called up to the Arsenal first-team squad training ahead of their UEFA Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven. [3] On 27 September 2023, he made his senior debut for Arsenal, starting in the EFL Cup against Brentford. [4]

On 1 February 2024 he went out on loan to EFL Championship team Swansea City for the remainder of the 2023–24 season. [5]

On 16 August 2024, Sagoe Jr joined League One side Shrewsbury Town on a season-long loan deal. [6] He returned to his parent club on 6 January 2025. [7]

Personal life

Sagoe Jr. was born in England, and he is of Ghanaian descent. He is eligible to represent both England and Ghana at international level. [8]
