Chatham Middle School (6-8) located in Siler City
Margaret B. Pollard Middle School (6-8) located in Chapel Hill
Horton Middle School (5-8) located in Pittsboro.

In 2006, the Chatham County Board of Education announced that they were repealing a decision that allowed students that lived in the Randolph County portion of Bennett to attend Bennett School, the local K-8 school, free of charge. For years students from both counties that lived in "Bennett" were allowed to attend the school free under a memorandum of understanding between the two counties made many years ago. The announcement that the memorandum was being repealed stirred a firestorm of controversy, since the Randolph County students would be considered out-of-district students and could therefore be charged hundreds of dollars each year to attend school in Chatham County. The commute to the nearest Randolph County school was also a problem since it is located many miles from Bennett. To date, the Chatham County board has stood by its decision despite numerous complaints from residents. [4]
In January 2009, a Chatham County Schools press release confirmed the groundbreaking of a new middle school. Margaret B. Pollard Middle School is located near Briar Chapel, in northeastern Chatham County. The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students of Perry Harrison and North Chatham were moved here in January 2011. [5]

Lone Oak High School was a public secondary school located in unincorporated McCracken County, Kentucky, with an address in Paducah. Its nickname was Purple Flash, and its school colors were purple and gold, although some athletic teams, such as the marching band and football team, had adopted purple and black, excluding gold, in the school's final years. The school closed in 2013 with the consolidation of the three high schools in the McCracken County Public Schools (MCPS) district into a new McCracken County High School. Lone Oak's enrollment in its final school year of 2012–13 was approximately 900 students.

North West Hendricks School Corporation is a public school district for the townships of Middle, Union, and Eel River in Hendricks County, Indiana. North West Hendricks School Corporation has operated as a school district since July 1, 1965. The reported enrollment of the NWHSC during the 2015-2016 school year was 1,886. The district has a total land area of 98.4 square miles. In 2011 the district's ISTEP scores increased even further moving it from the 5th ranked school district in the state to the 4th highest ranked school district in the state. The current superintendent is Scott Syverson.
