The Chester Half Marathon is an annual road running event held in the city of Chester, United Kingdom. It was first run in 1982 [1] using a route that started and finished at the Chester Racecourse via Blacon, Saughall and Sealand. In 1993 the race was organized by Chester and Ellesmere Port Athletic Club, who moved the route to the south of the City went out and back via Eccleston, Belgrave and Pulford. West Cheshire AC took over in 1998 and in 2012 Active Leisure Events provided the organization with a new route finishing outside the town hall and Chester Cathedral.

The Ottawa Race Weekend is an annual weekend of road running events held the last weekend of May in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The two-day running event includes seven races, including the Ottawa Marathon, all of which start and end at Ottawa City Hall. The marathon was first held in 1975, and is categorized as a Gold Label Road Race by World Athletics. Over 40,000 participants take part in the races each year.

Great Bristol Half Marathon

The Great Bristol Half Marathon is an annual road running event held on the streets of Bristol, UK. The route is at sea level and starts on Anchor Road outside We The Curious. Participants make their way toward Hotwells before heading under the Clifton Suspension Bridge and along the Portway toward Sea Mills before returning the same way then navigating around Cumberland Basin then along Spike Island before crossing Prince Street Bridge, circling Queen Square then heading to Castle Park via St Mary Redcliffe and Temple Circus. The final mile and a half take place in the Old City and Bristol city centre before crossing the finish line back at Anchor Road.

The Cardiff Half Marathon is an annual half marathon race held in the Welsh capital city of Cardiff, taking place in October. The event was established in 2003, initially alongside the Cardiff Marathon, however, due to the increasing popularity of the Half Marathon, the Marathon distance was dropped after 2006. The race was originally organised by the children’s charity Barnardo’s. Now organised by Run 4 Wales, the race has grown to accommodate up to 25,000 runners. Kyiv Half Marathon Annual race in Ukraine held since 2011

The Kyiv Half Marathon is an annual road running event over the half marathon distance which is held in April on the streets of Kyiv, Ukraine since 2011. In 2015 Kyiv half marathon became a full member of the AIMS. It carries World Athletics Silver Label Road Race status. The race is part of the Run Ukraine Running League, an annual series of races held in Ukrainian cities.

The 2021 New York City Marathon will be the 50th running of the annual marathon race held in New York City, United States, which is scheduled to take place on November 7, 2021. The number of competitors has been limited to 33,000 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
