Chesterfield County Public Schools is the public school system of Chesterfield County, Virginia, United States. As of 2020, there are about 64,000 students enrolled in 66 schools. [5] There are 40 elementary schools (grades K-5), 12 middle schools (grades 6-8), and 10 high schools (grades 9-12). Additionally, high school students can enroll in 13 specialty centers, two technical centers, one career academy, and two Governor's Schools. [6]
The Superintendent of Chesterfield County Public Schools is Mervin B. Daugherty. Prior to his appointment, he was the superintendent of Red Clay Consolidated School District in Delaware.

CCPS offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses, Dual Enrollment (DE) courses from Brightpoint Community College, and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses at Midlothian and Meadowbrook high schools. [7]

The Richmond County School System is an American public school system based in Augusta, Georgia. The Group 5A South Region is a division of the Virginia High School League. Along with the 5A North Region, it consists of the second largest high schools in Virginia in terms of population. The region was formed in 2013 when the VHSL adopted a six classification format and eliminated the previous three classification system. For the purpose of regular season competition, schools compete within districts that existed prior to 2013, while post-season competition will be organized within four conferences that make up each region.
