The China Railway Tianan is a hydraulic transmission executive/inspection diesel multiple unit developed by CSR Sifang, designed for speeds of 120 km/h and resistant to severe cold.
The Tian'an 2001 hydraulic transmission diesel executive/inspection multiple unit is a vehicle jointly designed by Qingdao Sifang and Shenyang Railway Bureau, and manufactured by Qingdao Sifang. It integrates locomotive and passenger car functions, has its own power, and can operate independently. It is primarily used for railway accident command and inspection tours. The vehicle is equipped with office, rest, and living facilities. It utilizes a DEUTZ DF8L413 air-cooled diesel engine produced with imported German technology, a newly self-designed SF2003 hydraulic transmission, and bogies featuring a two-stage high coil spring suspension structure with a B0-B0 axle arrangement. It was manufactured in 1995, underwent appraisal tests in 1996, and passed ministerial-level appraisal in 1997. [1]
