The Chongqing Rail Transit is the rapid transit system in the city of Chongqing, China. In operation since 2005, it serves the transportation needs of the city's main business and entertainment downtown areas and inner suburbs. As of December 2023, CRT consisted of eleven lines, with a total track length of 523.68 km (325 mi). Lines 1, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 18, the Loop line and Jiangtiao line are conventional heavy-rail metro lines, while Lines 2 and 3 are high-capacity monorails. To keep up with urban growth, construction is under way on Line 18 and several other lines, in addition to extensions to Lines 5, 6 and 10.

Bishan is one of the districts of Chongqing, China, with a history of over 2000 years. Bishan is 23 kilometers (14 mi) west of Chenjiaping in downtown Chongqing. Formerly a county, it became a district on 6 June 2014.
Line 1 of CRT runs westwards from Chaotianmen to Bishan. Line 1 began operation on 28 July 2011.
CRT Line 6 is the second heavy rail subway line in Chongqing, as well as being the longest rapid transit line in China, at 85.6 km (53.19 mi) long. It opened with provisional revenue service on September 28, 2012, and connects Nan'an, Yuzhong, and Jiangbei districts in central Chongqing.
Several cities in China had tram systems during the 20th century; however, by the end of the century, only Dalian and Changchun remained extant. However the 21st century has seen a resurgence in tram transport systems as China attempts to combat with urban traffic congestion and pollution.

The Egongyan Rail Transit Bridge is a suspension bridge carrying the Chongqing Rail Transit Loop line across the Yangtze. It connects Jiulongpo District in the west with Nan'an District in the east. The Egongyan Rail Transit Bridge is located about 70 meters upstream of the old Egongyan Bridge which carries only road traffic. The overall bridge is 1,650.5 metres (5,415 ft) long, with a 600 metres (2,000 ft) main span, making it the longest cable supported transit only bridge in the world by main span.
Bishan is a station on Line 1 of Chongqing Rail Transit in Shuanglong Avenue, Bicheng Subdistrict, Bishan District, Chongqing Municipality, China. The station opened on December 30, 2019. It is CRT's first station to be built outside of the Metropolitan Area of Chongqing.
The Second Chengdu–Chongqing high-speed railway is a 292-kilometre (181 mi) long high-speed rail line that connects the cities of Chengdu and Chongqing in southwestern China, with a maximum speed of 350 km/h (220 mph) and a future design speed of 400 km/h (250 mph). It will head via Lezhi, Anyue, and Dazu. Construction started on September 26, 2021 and it is expected to open in 2027.
Jiangtiao line of Chongqing Suburban Railway is a suburban rapid transit line in Chongqing, China. The initial section of Jiangtiao line from Tiaodeng to Shengquansi opened on 6 August 2022.

The Bishan rubber-tyred tram, or Bishan SkyShuttle, is an elevated rubber-tyred metro line in Bishan District, Chongqing, China. The 15.4 kilometres (9.6 mi) long line has 15 stations. It runs from north to south, starting at Bishan station on Line 1 of Chongqing Rail Transit, and finishing at Bishan railway station, on the Chengdu–Chongqing intercity railway.

It will connect Tongliang District with Bishan station of the Chongqing Rail Transit, providing an interchange with Line 1 and through running with Line 27. It will be 37.5 km long and feature 9 stations.
