Christopher Julian Clement Wright (born 14 July 1985) is an English cricketer. During his school years,he was a regular in Hampshire's youth teams,and played for the Liphook and Ripsley Cricket Club.
Wright made his first-class debut for Middlesex in 2004,as a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He was born at Chipping Norton,Oxfordshire and is a product of the Middlesex Academy who has also represented Cambridge University Centre of Cricketing Excellence and the Tamil Union club.
In August 2007,he signed a two-year contract to play for Essex until the end of the 2009 season. In March 2009,this was extended until the end of the 2011 season. However,they allowed him to play for Warwickshire on loan in August 2011 who then made the move permanent.
Wright's career blossomed at his third club. In the 2012 season,Wright formed an impressive opening attack partnership with Keith Barker for Warwickshire,helping the side capture the County Championship. Wright took over 50 first-class wickets in the season. His success led him to a call up to the England Lions cricket team,and a new four-year contract with Warwickshire. [1] However,in 2013 he suffered a stress-fracture of his back which hampered his progress. [2] In July 2018 it was announced that he would make the move at the end of the season to Leicestershire,as first-team opportunities at Warwickshire had become scarce. [3]
In September 2021,during the 2021 County Championship,Wright took his 500th first-class wicket. [4]

James William Arthur Taylor is an English former cricketer who played for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club. A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm leg break bowler,Taylor made his debut in first-class cricket in 2008 for Leicestershire and made major impressions in his first county seasons. He is noted as being a fine fielder in the covers. He became the youngest Leicestershire one-day centurion and first-class double centurion. In 2009,Taylor also became the youngest player in Leicestershire's history to score 1,000 championship runs in a season.
Reece James William Topley is an English international cricketer who plays for the England cricket team in white ball cricket as a left-arm fast medium bowler. He plays for Surrey in domestic cricket. Topley debuted for England in August 2015 against Australia. Topley was named in England's ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 squad. He plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League.
Norman Michael McVicker was an English cricketer. Having failed to establish himself with either Lancashire or Derbyshire,where he had trialled,McVicker initially played county cricket at minor counties cricket level for Lincolnshire. His performances in minor counties cricket were noticed by Warwickshire,who signed him at the age of 28 in 1969. He played five seasons with Warwickshire,winning the 1972 County Championship and taking 300 first-class wickets. He was released by Warwickshire at the end of the 1973 season and subsequently played for Leicestershire for three seasons from 1974–1976,winning both the County Championship and Benson &Hedges Cup in 1975. He retired at the end of the 1976 season,but came out of retirement in 1977 to play one-day cricket for Leicestershire,before retiring again at the end of that season.

Harry William Podmore is an English professional cricketer who plays for Glamorgan County Cricket Club. A right-arm medium-fast bowler who bats right-handed,he played youth cricket for Middlesex and made his debut for the county in 2014 before spending time on loan with Glamorgan,Durham and Derbyshire over the next two seasons. He made his first-class cricket debut on 1 May 2016 in the 2016 County Championship and played for Kent between 2018 and 2022;he was awarded his county cap in 2019 and left the county at the end of the 2022 season,moving to Glamorgan.

The 2020 Bob Willis Trophy was a first-class cricket tournament held in the 2020 English cricket season,and the inaugural edition of the Bob Willis Trophy. It was separate from the County Championship,which was not held in 2020 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom. The eighteen county cricket teams were split into three regional groups of six,with the two group winners with the most points advancing to a final held at Lord's. The maximum number of overs bowled in a day was reduced from 96 to 90,and the team's first innings could be no longer than 120 overs.
The 2021 County Championship was the 121st cricket County Championship season in England and Wales. For the first phase of the tournament,the teams were split into three groups of six,with each side playing ten matches. The top two teams from each group progressed into Division One for the second phase of the competition,with the other teams progressing to Divisions Two and Three. The team that finished top of Division One became the county champions;and the top two teams from Division One contested a five-day match at Lord's for the Bob Willis Trophy. On 17 December 2020,the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed all the fixtures for the tournament. After completion of the group stage on 14 July 2021,the ECB confirmed the fixtures for the division stage on 22 July 2021.
